 | Posted - 2003/01/24 :  03:44:30 I read it, and it was shit!! OK, a good idea getting hardcore virgins (does anybody know any virgins in the hardcore scene??? oh well, nevermind hehehe) to go to a "hardcore" party, but you could at least have got somebody with a bit of knowledge of hardcore to write the damn thing.... and who compiled that list of "hardest records"?..... sure, they're all good records, but I got the impression they were just randomly picked records on your part.

Also, next time, please take the time to find out what is considered hardcore and what isn't.... even Ginge admits that it isn't hardcore, and he's the damn promoter!!!

I noticed the hardcore section in the "Hard Dance" reviews however, and that wasn't too bad.

I'm still impressed that you stood by your word and put hardcore on the cover though.... not often that you get a journalist to stand by a promise.. especially not one from mixmag!!

Wouldn't exactly say it was one of the hardest tunes though.... even though it is a quality tune

Is this a true representation of hardcore, or will it pigeonhole the style into something that it isn't?

Good luck to those selling out our scene. They tried to do it with drum'n'bass a few years ago, and it went underground, and came back stronger.

Here's to hardcore coming back stronger.

 | Posted - 2003/02/03 :  02:28:10 ive read the article now, (didnt buy the mag tho).

i think the article is crap, and they seemed more interested in puttin thier opinion that hard house etc is also hardcore,
 than actually covering hardcore.
also neo is not a hardcore rave really.

so i still remain unimpressed with mixmag, and that article hasnt really given hardcore that much coverage

 | Posted - 2003/05/15 :  03:44:26 Hah! In Aus, the mag took so long to get here I snagged it for $5... that's probably only 2 pounds. The CD's great, but the mag was fit for toilet paper. Had that reviewer ever actually listened to Hardcore before?
