Still can't get enough of this tune its from 1994 seems quite ahead of it's time considering it was made in England (then a Breakbeat Stronghold) but I can hear some early Trancecore in this. Would you say it is the earliest for of Freeform?

I don't think so no, otherwise you could say the same for just about any Hard Trance tune from the mid 90's. That's where that sound originated from. I also don't think it sounds Freeformy. It's just a relatively melodic tune that isn't 'Happy', that is also classed as Hardcore. But it depends how you look at it. It sounds like 90's Hard Trance. And early Freeform is based on that, so in that sense it could be seen that way.

I would class it more as 'Trancecore' I think a few people hated that term but these days there are people who love that old Trancecore sound against what was then rather silly sounding Happy Hardcore.
In fact from what I heard Deathchant where more into Dutch inspired Gabber with some good Gabber tunes in the mid 90s comparable to anything on the continent

I agree to your statement! You can clearly hear where the roots of Trancecore/Freeform come from.

Don't even know how the word trancecore came about at the start when freeform started to come out, as it sounds nothing like trance music, especially late 90's trance when freeform started to come out, no resemblince at all at times

It sounds like Hard Trance of the time which is presumably what is meant.

Yeh maybe like hard trance, but def nothing like normal trance at the time, tbh i never even knew hard trance exsisted in the 90's! i thought hard trance didn't come out till the millenium, when hard house started to come out and get big, think i actually found out on here that hard trance was about in the 90's

Well they may as well be completely different genres to be honest. Mid 90's Hard Trance bears as much resemblance to 2000's Hard Trance as 90's Hardcore does to modern Hardcore. I'm guessing you've heard Bonkers 4. The first three tunes of Hixxy's mix are Hard Trance classics pitched up a bit.

Err no. Bunter & Ramos.
Bunter made freeform? Ok, that's new for me ^^' thx for the lesson
first freeform tunes i recognized were on bonkers 3, so bit mindblowing that sharkey isnt the creator of this genre

Oh yeh i've got bonkers 4, and think thats maybe how i found out about hard trance in the 90's! and when i started to think about it more i could sort of tell the tracks weren't really hardcore, especially hardcore at the time, 3 bangung tracks all the same, well pitched up anyhow
