lots of people are upset for the absence of both Sy and Wotsee for this event
https://www.facebook.com/events/282076925255798/?fref=ts Not really concerned myself over Wotsee the less MCs the better (although they should consider taking Keyes MC though), but the leaving Sy out after winning the lifetime achievement award is a pretty stupid move. Unless that's what that mystery DJ & MC set is all about. Or maybe they have something a bit more special planned for him (yeah f**king right I know lol but who knows).

WHIZZKID (Best MC winner) with a brand new show featuring a mystery MC & DJ Combination (details revealed soon!) hard to say exactly what that means. By brand new show, does this mean he's going to be DJing, or maybe a live PA?

Freeform in the main room courtesy of me, A.B & Douglas! This is the first time freeform has been given a main room slot at a major UK rave since Westfest 2011!

Whizzkid has DJ'd on the odd occasion, or maybe once, in recent months, hasn't he? Could be that. His first ever performance in Hardcore was a DJ set, I believe, as opposed to MCing

Quality. You'll have to let us know how it goes down.

There should be animosity as well!
It's a disgrace that he's being left of pretty much every line up that comes out, and this takes the piss even more, i guess lifetime achievement awards mean nothing!
Unless they know something that we don't, but it just seems like storm has come out of it unscathed in their eyes, talk to any raver and they'll tell you who they'd prefer on the line ups!

If it wasn't for so many other good events in June and July, and money being tight, this would probably be the first big rave I'd considering going to in years.
Fcuking love Bournemouth as well. Was the location of my first experience with ecstasy, actually. Back when it was The Opera House. Good times.

It seems preety clear that Sy has been cast out no matter how much the powers that be deny it just for the sake of covering their arse to people who did and still do believe he had done something bad, they wouldn't wanna give themselves any bad publicity even if the people who pay their money to make it what it is like it or not, it would be bad business and that is what it is a business. they know the vast majority will still go no matter what.

I posted this on another thread recently but Hixxy was talking to someone on twitter not long ago about the whole thing. Unsurprisingly Sy won't be at HTID in the sun this year either. Hixxy was saying that it's the same in every workplace that if allegations of this nature are made against you then you have to come out and defend yourself and prove that its a lot of shite. Apparently Sy hasn't even attempted to prove his innocence (other than his statement on facebook just after the whole thing erupted). Most of us think that its up to storm or whoever to prove Sy's guilt but not so by the look of it. Hixxy was also saying that most people in the scene would be more than happy to have him back but not until the issue has been resolved.

Sy is still getting bookings he's just not at the bigger events at the moment. He'll be back at some point I'm sure of that.

I don't think his financial situation is that bad to play your style of Hardcore...
