Sharkey also on the flyer, when did he make a comeback?
He's playing here as well, and MCing. Gonna be a sick night.

Another interesting flyer, this time with zebras lol. Tbh I always preferred sharkey as an MC than a dj. His banter on the mic was top notch, getting everyone on the dance floor to sit down and advocating heavy drug use etc etc. What a legend

Yeah but at least it's the theme of the event there. The other one is just completely random.

Well to be fair Kevin explained from the beginning his retirement wasn't absolute. I spoke to him about it when he was in Nashville and he always said if he did come out of "retirement" it would never be in the same capacity. And it really hasn't been. Also part of the time off he took was for health reasons he has mentioned this in a long post on facebook.
Also he's working on a new project called Deckajam with Nick235 and a vocalist he's used many times on his Nu Energy tracks. So we might see the very rare one-off set from him here and there, but depending on the success that Deckajam develops, we probably won't ever see him fully back in the scene.
Honestly Sharkey's retirement was a definite waste to announce lol. He has an album with HU coming up, hopefully sometime in the fall! And he's getting bookings here and there.

With the whole Sy thing, laws are laws, sure, but it's hardly like he brutalised pre-teen girls or anything. Going out on a limb here, even if he was "guilty as charged", personally I would have a hard time caring. In all likelihood, he could've legally ****ed the girls he was wanking over (if our vague facts about age are right).
Unfortunately, I am not the hardcore scene. Seems to me that the whole thing has very little to do with the legal implications surrounding the matter and far more to do with the personal preferences of prominent members of the scene.

Well of course most people who don't have kids will say the same thing. But if you have kids, especially daughters, it's really hard to take a side like this. Which is some djs and producers have actually stayed out of this and hasn't really said anything.

Unfortunately the important people do still care. :(

Fair enough mate, I'm not gonna try and tell you you're wrong because I just don't know.

They aren't important. They just make a lot of big decisions.

I think he's working with that same vocalist in an electoric influenced band I think. Heard him chat about it on a radio show some time

Sharkeys retirements are always a farce, he does it every couple of years or so,just an attention/publicity thing, no doubt in 2 years time he'll write another massive essay about why hes retiring again.
