No.
TL;DC (too long; didnt copy)
I agree. Updated doesn't mean it's good. And last time I checked, USH where the ones who MOANED every time hardcore changed since the late 90's.
I've disliked the electro stuff long before it even entered the hardcore scene (and I stopped buying EPP because of it). And how amusing Drumstep is, I dont think it fits with Hardcore, especially if you just copy paste and pitch it up to 170bpm, instead of integrate it somehow different.

As some probably know I'm one of the biggest FW apologists around but even I see that this is a horribly cliched argument. The "new sound" could have been literally anything. What it turned out to be is something that I, personally enjoy. Not everyone does. Not everyone ever would no matter what direction it went. It is a massive leap to say "EVERYONE ON HHC.COM JUST HATES ALL CHANGE WAH WAH WAH". Your post implies that any "new sound", no matter what is is, should always be appreciated by everyone just for the virtue of being a new thing. That's dumb. At the end of the day, its not the "newness" of 2013 hardcore that appeals to me, its the music itself. I can APPRECIATE what almost anyone for taking risks and pushing boundries regardless of if it appeals to me or not (notice how almost everyone in this thread is doing that in regards to Modulate) but ENJOYING it is something entirely different. Clubland X-Treme Hardcore 8 was a brand new thing for it's time. Did I enjoy it? No, I thought it was weak. New but weak. But by the time 9 rolled around, hardcore had come into form as something I actually was quite positive about. I think theres a great mixture of styles out there (at the current) forming an amalgam of fast rave music that I'm enjoying more than ever. Modulate was one of my favorite producers not because he "pushed a new sound" but because he pushed a sound that appealed to me. Once again, it did not and could not have appealed to everyone. There is nothing wrong with this and it is, once again, dumb to assume that this means that everyone just hates all change.
In conclusion, I've bought every NFWORLD release to date at full Beatport price and even I wish people on my "side" (urg) would stop trying to brainlessly generalize everyone who even slightly disagrees with them.
my post only implies what YOU want to see, it's how you read it.
The scene in general was crying out for a new sound, not just here.
i dont see much love for the new sound.
& i didnt mean 'everyone' literally, that would be silly lol

He's very talented. Quite a loss for people who enjoy his style of hardcore. If your not enjoying the music your trying to produce. There's no passion. No point.
