I have no idea , but am loving the Freeform hardcore at the moment and it's variety.
I am going HTID this year for the last time so will be immersed in it, was hoping there would be some Freeform out there but didnt see any names on the flyer : (

Damn you're not lying I didn't see any freeform on the flyer. I don't think this is the final lineup though, I'm sure there will be some more added. I don't even see any gabber djs that I recognize on the current flyer, so guessing they may be added later. Oh well, perhaps Ravers Ibiza would be wise to include some freeform in their lineup.

The whole idea behind Freeform was to play different and varied Hardcore music at those kinds of events. They introduce the crowd to new stuff. Freeform is its own little genre now, so I dont blame promoters for omitting it from Hardcore events.

Amazing track; one of the best of '13 IMNSHO.

I completely agree well-made track, certainly a lot better than anything else that Bananaman has done since his return.
As far as summing up the current scene? I'd say that it's stable, with potential to grow, but if the people mostly in control of the scene, especially events, don't do something new or different then there will be no significant growth to the scene.

tbh I wish that Freeform doesn't split that much from UK Hardcore. Compared to other styles (even break(beat)s), Freeform has allways gone hand in hand with UK Hardcore (mostly because of Bonkers)

Did anyone see or hear the Facebook post Bananaman did a while back showing off the remix he and Gisbo had been working on for Forever Together? Never seen so much hatred for a track. And it wasn't a good remix, and nor were the vocals he had used.

Hmm.. I dont remember there being much hatred for the track.. Are you confusing it with Ultravibes Power of Love Remix?

He's not payed to be technical though. He's payed to mix. You must surely know what he meant.
I'm standing by my statement. Mixing and technical mixing definitely aren't mutually exclusive. The fact is that he commands large sums of money for DJ sets (probably more than anyone else in hardcore?) precisely because he'll use the volume faders more than any other DJ. He's paid the most because he's the biggest crowd puller which, in turn, is because people have expectations of a very technical set.
To me, if you accept a bunch of money with the implicit expectation that you're gonna do a bunch of fancy tricks and then you turn up and do exactly that, you're the definition of someone being "technical for the sake of being technical". Well, arguably, that's actually being technical for the sake of getting paid but, since in Gammer's case technical = getting paid, it's the same proposition.
I mean, it's just my 2 cents but everything he said about his DJing seemed disingenuous or misguided to me.
