https://soundcloud.com/brodsterxd/brodster-uno This was originally for the reddit thread where we have to make a track in one hour and post it up. I thought it would be a good idea to post it here. Writing, arranging, and mixing down a whole track in one hour is quite a task but it might spark some creativity and be a bit of fun. Hope you enjoy and I've made it available for a free download (as if anyone would even download it XD). Proof http://i.imgur.com/2RZkSCq.png

Good stuff, man. I've tried the "make a track in an hour" exercise but didn't come this close to feeling finished. Liked and following. :)

It's considerably easier if you have templates and that sort of thing.

I've been using Fruity since day one, and I have honestly never seen that thing that tells you how long you've spent on your track!!

Yeah I didn't use templates, but it was basically an hour of me throwing samples and a sylenth preset together.

Sounds pretty nicely done for an 1 hour track - I wonder how it turns if you got unlimited time :)

Good job man, like that. Would love to have a go at this actually. Might have to try one and record the whole hour as a video. :)

This one hour thing actually isn't really new for me - perhaps I can host something like that :)
I joined several competitions like that, basically they indicate you to create a track using only the samples given in a samplepack created for that, in just one hour.

I remember the old hardcore competions on the Acidbreak website, where you could only use the samples provided. We could take turns knocking up a quick sample pack for this sort of thing. I don't mind making one!

Yeah, but back to that day they used trackers for make music. Now I dunno if most of the people here knows how to use a tracker, altrough samples can be used also on modern DAWs (using Kontakt or Fruity Sampler)

I only use FLStudio, but I don't imagine it's too much hastle using samples only in other DAWs. Would be a nice theme for a fun competition actually, think of the 90's style happy hardcore/breakbeat/bouncy techno etc tracks folk would come up with! Not everyone's cup of tea, but I'd be up for it!

Well, even oldskool hardcore tracks were based with samplers... Just think about the infamous AKAI ones used massively :)
