NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! God damn NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why?
Why do drops like that exist at all, never mind in hardcore. I don't even understand how that can be the mainstream sound? What is appealing about it? Plus, you really are limited to what you can do with a drop like that. They all sound exactly the same. The only difference from track to track is the breakdown.
Woeful Darren. I've come to expect much much more!

Possibly the worst tune/remix DS has ever done? There have been loads of over-rated and over-played tunes from Styles but I genuinely can't think of any this poor. I'm confident it will be a one-off at least.

You know there is a difference between overrated, overplayed, and poor tracks.
Honestly most of his tracks are overplayed, but that doesn't make them awful
Overrated, that's usually a track where one has mixed feelings about.
This is clearly neither of those, and just ****ing awful through and through. I don't care to hear the rest as usually the preview should have the best parts highlighted of the whole track.
Like someone mentioned in the comments, this has a very EDC/Tomorrowland influence to it. If this is where he's heading his production towards, let the scene write him off altogether now before it gets worse.

Yes this was my point. There is a difference between over-rated, over-played and plain shite. This falls into the latter category.
Write him off? Absolutely not. Still the best producer in hardcore by some distance imo. Il forgive him this minor blip.

Q: Does Brixton sound better if it's released on HU?
A: No. No it does not.

There isn't a chance Styles will write all his tracks in this style. He absolutely love melodic drops and will continue to make them. He always does tracks like this but then reverts back to his brilliance shortly after.

That drop... It's just a bunch of ****ing reverbed cowbells slapped randomly in between a bunch of kicks. There's not even a note change, it is literally just that. Really not my kind of thing and I was very disappointed when I heard it.

Jesus, look at the comments on there now.
I wonder if the two people who gave positive responses feel a little silly? (presuming they are indeed bum lickers and weren't being sarcastic...)
A small part of me thinks that this could be some sort of joke, still, and we're being played for fools.
I would fucking love it if if turned out Gammer made this and is playing a prank on Styles though!!!

this is not surprising. anybody on the futureworld team is all about this shit. at least you guys speak up. i bring it up and the US kids get so fanboy butthurt it is ridiculous. i said i was glad gammer was not going to be at HTID and they all pretty much get 3rd reich. " how DARE you insult lord gammer!!! " gammer was even trolling the page even though he is not playing...

Reminds me alot of David Guettas shot me down a bit. I don't mind it, big room is the sound of now. No point living in the past where every UK Hardcore track sounded like Hard Trance on speed. Time to try new things.
I remember reading an interview with Tiesto on why he left Trance and went Big Room. He said things have to evolve and improve. And nearly all the djs that still play the same old Trance sound he played 10 years ago have disappeared into insignificance. And how he has still stayed amongst the top djs.
Why?? Because he experimented and moved with the times. To me there is nothing wrong with experimenting and trying new productions in Hardcore and moving with the times. Trance is gone, and it will never come back into scene dominance with that old sound. It's like saying lets go back to djs playing vinyl and no more downloading.
The new generation of ravers seem to love what Styles plays, stop being jaded and move on.

I don't think it's any worse than anything else that's around currently or for the last 5+ years. The only real criticism i have about it is that it sounds too sped up and unnatural. I have no problem with the style. In fact i think it would probably work a lot better on the dancefloor than the typical pop-Trance cheese riffs.
