Welcome to the site. There are several members from Canada, including moderator virus.
Apparently a stringer is one of those annoying boogers that tend to get stuck up in your nose.

Hmm...in that case, I'm surprised to hear someone say "everyone loves stringers' in one of the discussions. I guess I'm just in the minority.

A Stringer is someone on the dancefloor with Glowsticks on Strings (or ball bearing chains like me). We twirl them around and have our fun. we are crowd pleasers...

Yeah, I know, but MOST people are smart enough to stay away from the lights that are moving really fast close to them... Then there are the dumbasses that just walk right into them... Just this past weekend I hit some lady in the FACE because she was stupid enough to walk right in the middle of the "bubble" people had created for me... After I apologized for hitting her (I'm just nice to everyone) I was laughing my ass off... If you are gonna be stupid enough to walk in the way while I'm doing it, Then you DESERVE to get hit. 'Nuff said

i tried to do that once but the glowstick hit a wall, exploded and shot glowstick juice all over this pritty girl an her brand new fluffy boots, which began to melt, she stank of shit after, and hit me really hard, then her boyfriend knocked me out, i woke up three days later in korea naked with an acceletrated culture flyer pushed up my butt, which i used to fashion a rudimentary spelling device, allowing me to get what i said translaed into english, so i could fnd a job, work as a slutboy sucking businessman cock for small dollar, for 3 months until i could afford a ticket back home, where i vowed never to attempt stringing again
in summary...
STRINGERS ARE BRAVE BRAVE PEOPLE WHO DESERVE RESPECT AND LOVE, AND POSSIBLY A SEASON PASS TO ACCELERATED CULTURE.
Terrence and Phillip are my favorite canadians, next to Avril Lavigne and anyone who says "eh!" all the time.

Depends on where you happen to be, really ... down here in Sydney you'll find that "stringers" as you call them are actually frowned upon, unless they relegate themselves to some corner of the dancefloor where no-one else is dancing. If they so much as think about starting up in the crowded sections then they'd more likely get a sea of death-stares than a welcome circle.
... and rezzna: ROFLMFAO OMG that's classic

Ah Terrence and Philip - our greatest ambassadors. Nice. :P
So anyway, I'm going to ask the same question I read in one of the other forums...maybe I'll get different answers. Who knows? I just want to know...what would you consider 'required reading' for Happy Hardcore?
For Electronica, I started off loving Binary Finery by PvD, and some Darude. ...and now I'm liking higher speed/energy stuff - Happy Hardcore.
So far I like Q-Tex - Genesis, Interstate - Beloved, Barthezz - On the Move, Scott Brown - Turn Around, Scooter - Posse..., and even some of the cheezy stuff (if I'm using that correctly (heard it on happyhardcore radio lol)) like DJ Magical - Rush Hour (Vinyl Groover Remix)...sweet!
Given that, what would you say I should listen to next?
PS - Feel free to virtually smack me if I'm naming tune that aren't HHC. If anyone want to pony up a definition of the genre too, I'm listening! Thx! :)
