Brian K I hope you were joking!! Oakenfold!! A club house Dj = Rave now that's soooo wrong. Mouse I with you that's clubbing, The best raves I have been to have not always been premoted, You know like Stonehenge festival when I was 16 on my birthday (The day after summer solstice!!8-) ) Castlemorton and spiral tribe, a big derelict factory on an estate in my home town, and Welsh free parties while I was at Uni, I went in 93 and stayed nearly 7 years and never got a degree, now that's HARDCORE!! Stupid but there you go. Rave is a spirit, the free party scene and illegal factory stuff gave it an edge, which is not to say I ain't been to some kick ass legal raves but somehow paying was never quite the same as seeing Easygroove, Robbie Dee and the like for free. First year at Uni, I get convinced by a local to leave the pubs and clubs for a night in Aberystwyth town and get dragged out 6 miles to a place called Talybont. Me being a city boy think 'oh, yeah this is going to good what the hell am i doing'
Then in the middle of a forest are two barns a Huge tent and a House all banging with over 3000 people. Everyone I knew was there and it was totally Illegal but so big it couldn't be stopped!!
Now that is a rave
