I don't know about that. Ravers in Japan are calling trancy hardcore TranceCore right now (and so are the Dj's such as Dj Angel and Shadow K). Freeform is more like fast, chunky, acid HardCore. Sure it has some melodies, but its not upbeat....so stuff from phospher and Justrich shouldn't be classified as TranceCore/freeform, it should just be classified as freeform.

You want to know the real answer to that one? Well apparently someone was reviewing "trancecore" and thought that, since it was still hardcore, it made as much sense to call it that as it would to call it Kenneth. Or I least that's how I heard it. I think. Uh. Right

doesn't anyone listen to next generation records anymore????? doesn't anyone listen to subsonic underground????? both happy and hardcore, maybe some trancey but all hardcore. so everyone has their own names for stuff, trancecorefreeformhappyjunglegabbergabbahappycorehappyjumpup all i have to say is shut up, it's all the same damned music just made by different people at different stages in their lives so what if it sounds trancey, if it makes YOU happy thats all that matters. get off your soap box and enjoy the ride cuz it's going to fall apart because of people picking the success to pieces if it's so bad, sell your records and get a job at kmart or something, cuz i love it all. it all makes me happy.

if its fast and has beats and isnt shite then its hardcore, if its breakbeaty then its breakbeaty, if its neither of these its dance music..
and hardcore has by no means lost its happy, it may not be so uberchirpy nowadays, but u still get a big smile and much happiness flowin thru you when you hear a good choon, and ravin still makes you the happiest person for miles around. hardcore'll lose its happy when people start likin gabba an techno more, which'll probably be never

From now on I am going to call it Kenneth, and old skool is Bert, jungle is Ernie, Techno is jim-bob, gabba is sammy-jo, Break beat is Harold, happyhardcore is Alfred.
So that makes me Alfieharryberteerniekenneth with a bit of Pricilla thrown in.
