mic controller.....sorry, but mic controller sounds really stupid(no offence intended)
...but just picture what you are sayin..."mic controller", "someone who controls the mic"....=sounds dumb
It's master of ceremonies definitely, like Simon said: "like at a wedding reception or event where he who has the micro-phone run's the show vocally." But it's not always that the MC has to have a mic, just that in most cases there are big receptions or parties and a mic would come in pretty handy.
Also virus citation from the dictionary...I mean you just can't argue against that!!!
So ppl, just accept the fact that its Master of Ceremonies and lets really stop this now.
