The old is really good and i dont mind listening to it but i like to keep listening to just about everything. But if everyone just kept to the old there wouldent be some of the new hh dj's it would just stay original and no new ideas would end up out there.

i loved hardcore back in the day---i loved it when it "Died"---I love it the way it is now.....YES, Hardcore till i die.... P.L.U.R/

look...
back in the "good old days" when happy hardcore was shooting star and toy town etc. We all loved those tunes but after awhile with me i got bord with them well i did anyhoo. I think hardcore is gorn more trancy is becoz its sounds alot more comercial making the hardcore scene bigger and more popular... anyhow myself i like the "new" hardcore styles becoz its got all the happy stuff and it has some dark stuff aswell which is pretty cool.
why dose happy hardcore just gota be happy?, i mean we not allways in a good mood are we ? we all know its the name HAPPY hardcore but still i think there should be more than just happy stuff!.
Anyhow u can read that or not.

I’m quite proud to be listening to hardcore now because the music has developed its own history, starting out breakbeat then into the /cheesy stuff I used to love. Recently its evolved into a more sophisticated trancey sound, if we were stuck in that cheesy stuff now like the end of 2000 I think the scene would be dead

im not sayin i disslike the new stuff hell i love some of scott browns new tunes on the l8test bonkers
but i fink some of the old stuff needs more respect!

well,eventhough I don't find new hardcore hard anymore,since '98,I wouldn't like to be lost.But the thing that must put us in thoughts(especially djs)is why so many ppl don't like the direction that "hardcore" follows the last years.Is just a small minority?just wonder....

As long as its hard i'll listen to it, Happy or trancey. but in terms of production the tunes put out today are miles ahead of what came before, the scene needed it. It would have died if the same basic happy tunes had continued to roll out of the sudio's, it did sound a bit samey at one point didn't it? I'm not saying trancey hardcore won't go the same way but at least producers have got options now...
I expect that sooner or later the 'happiness' will start to creap in again cos unless you've only just got into hardcore in the past couple of years its what we know and love. However, at the moment the trancey stuff is sounding fresh and has an energy that a lot of the happy stuff simply didn't have, thats what I love about it.
