So I super upset about the HTID USA lineup; and it got me wondering how much darren costs to book. I would assume after EDC and the hype blow up it is pretty large. Or do hardcore producers take a pay break when the broke ass hardcore promoters ask them to spin a show?
Just considering how many other producers could have been booked instead of wasting space on darren.
price of darren vs fracus & darwin?
price of darren vs al storm?
price of darren vs technikore?
dont even get started on all the talented smaller names.

POINT 2 :
someone asked for ultrabeat ( maybe it was ultravibes)? and stormtrooper; to which someone replied : " both retired" . That doesnt mean they will never spin another hardcore set for money, right? Everyone needs money. I always took retired to mean" doesnt produce music again".
Really? Retired dj's never play sets again?
Sounds like ******** to me. Why not atleast try. Do promoters ever ask?
I would pay twice as much; and everyone would be infinitely more pleased than having to watch styles again?

Yeah that HTID USA Line up got me pretty upset as well :( I saw darren b2b with gammer back in march at a monstercat event, about 6 other big dj's played as well including Jauz b2b Slushii, the club was packed with i would say 400-500 people and the tickets sold at 20-40$, i would say the event made about 15,000$ that night, i could imagine they all split the cash, so you can conclude what you can

I know SF is obviously more pricey than AZ; and the Regency even more so... but I wish there was more communication. Location and line up are top tier; but the line up suffered massively for it. Or maybe they really lost cash on that last party. It was pretty stacked....
I can't remember for sure; but I think the last event went to 4:00 am. A party should always atleast go that late....Now we get dropped back down to 2: 00 am... so weak. which also contributed to a weaker lineup.
Hixxy morining Glory sets are dope and atleast dougal doing a " 20 years of dougal" set ; so those are 2 assured legit sets. Honestly probably most excited for S3rl haha; even though ive seen him loads. Not quite the same badass style he produced back in the day; but still so much closer to the sound im looking for than what styles will be playing. Would not be suprised to see the dancefloor go hardest for S3rl. I also noticed on soundcloud s3rl has more followers than styles or gammer. I think that is pretty telling!
Honestly though, all styles plays now is mostly that watered down hardstyle sound. With so many angry attendees lol I would have just dropped him in favor of a solid Gabber act or set. Alot of people angry there is nothing " harder". I would have been happier; and I am not even really a gabber fan.
Just crazy... I think any amount of cash promoters are paying styles/gammer these days is too much lol, for what are supposed to be hardcore shows atleast. They are welcome to the massive support they have gained from whatever else.
You gunna try to make it out though? Kind of weak its not 2 days anymore.

I heared a few years ago (before EDC) that he was around ?1000 per hour for a UK based set
Can imagine when it comes to sets aboard a deal is made that includes flights and hotel costs covered along with usual hourly rate.

Pretty sad. So many excuses and lame defense from some fans.
" Oh this is their first show, they are testing the waters"
What? Not even close to their first hardcore show, they have already thrown much larger parties than this. My first hardcore party was at the same spot HTID SF was; better lineup; thrown by a non hardcore production company; ( based out of bay area) as a side room . HSU , a nation wide production company, buys HTID, at one point the largest Hardcore label/ production company in EU; if not the world? .. and they cant even throw a party rivaling pretty much an underground crew. That is absolutely pathetic. Maybe HTID label should have just died.

If someone asked for an ulttabeat set then that could have been arranged as Ian redman plays hardcore under the ultrabeat name and not even sure if re-con ever played hardcore much as ultrabeat bak2bak with Ian anyway as he was always booked as recon,
But mike recon is now massive as camelphat so don?t think he will play much hardcore out ever again,

man that just KILLS me.
So now Re-con gets to play at huge festivals like Gammer; but neither are really the headliner. Before, they were THE headliner; with the most intense; energetic, balls to the wall crowd raving has. To throw that away for ther ****ing house scene makes me sick to my stomach. I listend to that " cola" track that is doing " so" good. Just not even impressive. utterly un unique. boring. House is boring. House shows are boring. house crowds, are boring.
Good stuff though , money money money!!!

Styles, hixxy, dougal, s3rl.
The biggest hardcore production company in the world shoud be throwing bigger hardcore parties for 1.
They should also atelast attempt to not recycle the same 4 or 5 dj's that play in america over and over and over. The crowd is really over it. Not to mention out of all them; S3rl is really the only 1 making anything currently that sounds like hardcore. Their classics sets saved their ass ;I know loads of people blown away how bunk this show is.
