I have brain deadness.

Normally I don't get brain deadness, but I can't seem to get a complete sound. Every track seems like its lacking something!!

Dammit! What can I do, to give it more fullness of sound??

Sometimes its good to take a distance from your work and then come back to work on it. By distance I mean take a break from it from at least one day.
advice is to clear your mind, go for a country ride, hiking or diving but do not expect the unexpected or the expected, expecting doesn't help clear the mind. When diving you can see a fish you haven't seen before or see something strange and beautiful or really cool. These things help to relax your mind. Now your brain is under stress and that my friend blocks every creative path. Now when you feel you're ready to continue, the brain is relieved and ready to keep working.

This is what I do when I'm working on artprojects. If I get a creative block or can't figure out whats wrong. I'll take a break and work on it later. It always works for me.

....If your brain is really dead, then there is a problem...not quiet sure hows about you're still functioning

Compression sometimes does it, but if you have a synth that's rather thin and fm-sounding, try adding another synth that plays the same part, one octave down, in a really phat analog sound. It adds a lot of depth to your track.

things I do to make things sound fuller:

1) add another part

2) Do like Kaffine suggested and copy a part an octave lower.... or higher!!!

3) Add delay to some parts

4) Add fx dotted around

5) Go play computer games for an hour

6) dick around with random plug ins and filter effects

Thanks guys.

Distance is good. I'll do that. Other people who don't usually make/listen to hardcore can also be of some help (when they stop complaining that its too fast)

I've added heap of 'verb and pingpong delay (that is the freaken bomb!) But maybe I should add more pads....

Anyway, thanks guys

musically if you're missing something, don't listen to any hardcore for a while. go listen to some other stuff, try some drum n bass, classical, whatever does it for you. it's a good way to get the creative juices flowing.
