Unfortunatly I couldnt make the awards and yes, I was well gutted!! However, I'm even more gutted about the results!!
Now, I'm not slagging anyone off and yes, Scott brown is an amazing DJ but surely the best DJ should have gone to STYLES!!
Force and Styles were one of the pioneers at the beginning of the 'happy hardcore' sound when it all was evolving out of the old skool sound ('95 period). Then, when the scene seemed to be in ruins, it was Styles right at the forefront again saving the scene and developing the sound that practicly saved the Hardcore scene!! Surely he should have won best DJ if not outstanding controbution award. He's an amazing producer n DJ who was instrumental in saving our music from oblivion.

I can think of bout 5- dj's who have done exactly the same...Hixxy, Sy, Sharkey, Dougal, Scott Brown and overall i think Sy has done much more for this scene overall than Styles. just personal opinion though.

Yeah basically I agree with what midway raver said.
I don't think Styles is the best dj out there I'm afraid.
wonderful producer, great guy, good dj.....but not the best.
& SY deserved the award he got because he has done soooooo much for the scene its incrediable.

So you're saying they should have fixed the vote? The DJ's job is to please crowd. As this was voted for by said crowd then Scott deservedly won. Sorry but that a little obvious surely?

I had the honor of seeing Mr. brown at hullabaloo's fires in the sky last month. It was one of the best nights of my life, if not the best. He is a amazing dj and I agree with him winning the award. BUT, Sy I belive has made the most impact on the whole hardcore scene and I see good cometition between these two and this award. Over all I was mad about raver baby winning best label, urg... (O.o) i mean come on its raver baby. They have very good tracks but other labels (Es plat, evo, quosh) have alot more then just raver baby does, in my opinion.
So go scott, and keep up the good work.

Anyone who truly believes that Scott Brown is a better DJ than Sy is just an idiot. No matter how you split the criteria Sy bests him in every category from technique to programming.
Bottom line: these awards are ****ing meaningless

Most of you seem to be missing the point of the awards. They were voted for by YOU, the public, so each result just reflects who the most popular person is in each category. That was the whole point of it! The awards can't be "wrong" or "meaningless" just because whoever you voted for didn't win.
