Have electric guitars been used in hardcore?
I know acoustic guitars sometimes appear a bit in a breakdown but what about a nice bit elecric guitar solo? Ive heard what sounds like it in some of force n styles old stuff but i'm not sure if theyre just synth sounds.
Any ideas?

Not heard a "proper" electrical guitar or a good bass guitar in any hardcore tunes.

Heart of gold had a guitar in it didn't it? Did not sound too bad... Vinylgroover did a track with a saxaphone... damn that stunk.

Higher Ground by Unique is a perfect example of a tune with a distorted electric guitar in :)

Not too sure about that. It would be hard to stop it sounding very gash to be fair.
I've been thinking about incorporating a a really hard guitar loop into a freeform track. Still even that would be hard to get to work

It's definatly an interesting though, would be good to hear the effort.
maybe have a full on Dave Mustaine style Electrical Guitar Riff in there, or a massive Bass guitar riff David Ellefson stylee .

I have thought for years that Heart of gold had a guitar, and it sounds great 'n fit well in the track.

Some gabber tracks have guitars in 'em (check dj rob gee's sex, drugs 'n gabberhouse or G.A.B.B.E.R. is the sport). Also a lot of terror artists use (or used) guitar samples, mostly from metal bands, resulting in a kick-ass track.
