not had much chance recently cos so busy but i've read all the irvine welsh ones and quite a few others that have taken my fancy.

dont get to read much for pleasure like that with all stuff i have to do and time i spend on net, mostly just stuff for college.

actually also been skimming through a book on how to dj properly which is amzing and a reason 3 one, not fiction but all at minute.

I love reading on holiday, basking in the hot sun laying on the beach or on the balcony and even when cooling down after a cold shower laying on my bed.

Other than that, no heh. might get into a book soon... infact, When I did a car boot sale in the summer me and my best mate found loadsa books and she gave me some of her favs. will get an early night and make a start on one of those. But when I get into a book, I get stuck in it and never get any sleep hehehe

yeah its weird, i rarely read at home but i'll go through about 3 or 4 books on holiday!

actually its not that weird, considering tv is usually crap and the weather is nicer :P.

personally i think harry potter is ****ing wank, but i may have a slightly skewed view on the matter, as certain people used to use it as my nickname (my first name is harry).

aye thats when i've read most stuff i did, when used to go away with family to like eurocamps and all that instead of with the lads.

irvine welsh novels just crack me up, i reckon it'd be hard to read if you dont understand edinburgh accents though cos is mostly wrote how they talk.

me and the wee bro used to always take some smoke with us on holiday and i'd sit and read all day, then head out at night.

reading this topic makes me want to get a book, mibbe get some time in summer for it.

just seems theres always something i need to do, and my dam internet addiction

I try to read as much as I can. I am re-reading at the minute though - just finished The Last Don (Mario Puzo). I really should get Porno and Glue as I've heard nothin but good things about them. I usually just find an author I like and read all their works - Tolkien, Puzo, Iain Banks, etc.. I read Trainspotting and Maribu Stork Nightmares but never got round to reading the rest of Welsh's stuff. Now that its summertime and TV is guff I'll probably read a lot more.

another of my fav's, loved crow road and my dads got one he's told me to borrow think it's called espedair street?

i'll try check out the other ones you mentioned cos seem to have similar tastes to me.

i recommend all the irvine welsh books to you bc, people have there personal favs but i kinda like them all in diff ways.

But yes glue and porno are classic, filth seems to be hit and miss but i loved it.

one of those ones you need to read the whole thing.

re-reading books i enjoy aswell cos always some bits you didnt pick up at first but with your knowledge of the story you spot them.

Does Green Eggs and Ham count?
That book never fails to give me a giggle...

SHH it's a good book!

One of my all-time favorites though would probally be The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, if you ever stumble across it, read it!
