Major news stations? Like what?

"- The police were rounding up the staff of the party and the main promoter went up to them with the permit for the show and said "here, I have the permit." The police then said, "no you don't" and ripped the permit out of his hand. Then, they put an assault rifle to his forehead and said "get the **** out of here right now."

THATS NOT RIGHT...

shit like that has been happening for awhile...if they want to shut the party down they will regardless of a permit, that's why it's always a smart idea to make copies/duplicates of the permit in case they seize the one you show them.

its not on the television news yet but its spreading quickly online. just google utah and rave and you'll come up with a few news stories. Different stories have different biases and there seem to be as many new stories condemning the ravers as there are stories condemning the police. Here are a few ones I picked up:

Ha that’s priceless some people just don’t have a clue do they these sort of things are more likely to happen at our local park, school playground or high street than at a rave. What do we have to do as a scene to prove that are parties are no worse than a rock/pop concert IMO this is a bad case of discrimination and im not just referring to this party though it is a good example im talking about how we are looked upon by others all the time.

I would consider myself a pretty run of the mill stereo type raver and I hold down a decent job pay my taxes and would say I’m no different to my friends who listen to other types of music so why am I/we considered bad and told that I’m a criminal of the highest order? Why should we stand for being labelled like this?

"These females stated that the combination of drugs and alcohol made them fear for their safety due to the groping and sexual assaults that occurred during the Rave party."

Just read this bit to i mean WTF what a load of crap. I have been to hundreds of raves never once have I seen someone sexually harassed I have also been to loads of clubs/pubs (places that are allowed by the government) and that is where the sexual assault / harassment is at.

Okay, what the ****. This is pretty damn stupid.

Well, here's my solution. Someone out there who produces should try and make a song along the lines of NWA - **** The Police. (Stupid pointless censorship, reply to my comment to see it... duhhh :P) It might be a first, a hardcore track against retarded authority...

Well, I guess the only thing we can do about this is laugh at pictures of when it actually DOES happen...

http://www.rcmp-fairmont.org/da/docs/rave.pdf

Check page 24 of that pdf file. The whole thing is an amusing read, actually. The police out here in Canada seem to be =slightly= less ****ed up than their American counterparts, but that whole pamphlet is a laff and a half.

EDIT: Just fixed a couple of things that were peeving me.
