Clarification:
Submitted mixes for the contest have NO REQUIREMENTS! Recommending 192k mp3 and between 30 and 75 minutes.

FINAL PRODUCT will be EXCLUSIVELY digital! Please have the ability to play digital content :)

Wicked. I'll be submitting soon then hopefully.

and from what i gather for the mixing thing, thats its only a demo of how u are at mixing, and that if u win the mixing side then u will have to mix all the chosen track together :D

and i imagine useing software mixing prog's is ok?

Production deadline is DEC. 15 :) You've got roughly 2 months

Software-based mixing is fine as well

@DJBrownout: If you want to submit original production for us, that'd be great! We're looking for DJs to mix the album as well. Please submit to me a track (or 3 or 4) or an individual mix. Thanks!

Thats extremly easy to do, you can rip any sound playing through your speakers heaps of ways.

It can be done with literally two clicks especially if you have a *cough* soundcard.

Im not gonna explain it either, but basically you can record anything that comes out of your speakers mate.

true but, it means someone has to put the effort in lol I can't see twats like cammy, ranking ect, doing all that "recording" just for a track...

Where as if it was handed to them as an mp3... then they soon would!!!

Its all about the chances i was pointing towards... the chances between both a recorded rip and an mp3 rip are very fair apart!

Also if someone was to do a recorded rip, then I'm sure they must know what there doing when it comes to music and thefore they would most likly also have knowleadge of copyright laws! - which is another factor that slates the chances down...

Sk8sim you're in a dream world

If you wanna record the flash just select your main output as your record source in any audio software, it's the easiest thing ever.

Computer knowledge is unrelated to copyright law knowledge.

Also: 29/30 mp3s are downloaded illegally...do you think people really give a shit about copyright law (sadly they don't).

dude your missing the point... but then again just HIGHLIGHTED the original one!

29/30 mp3s are downloaded (your words!)

Ok then... so how many flash tracks are "recorded!"
(give me an estimate on that then )

As you could guess, not alot - cuse not everyone knows how to do it!
therefore, all coming down to what i was highlighting!

The "CHANCES!"
Your more likly to get an mp3 riped then a flash file!

That's a great idea.
I'd love to DJ.
I haven't made a mix in about a year though. I'm just about to make a new one so maybe you can give a listen to that. Who knows, we'll see what happens. Either way I support you guys fully!

Ok. We've come to the following conclusion:

Ripping is easy.
Streaming will only get in the way of delivery unless MP3's are included to download.
The Album will be distributed in limited Hard Copies paid for out of donations (I've donated 150$)
The Album will be distributed over my server to the internets for free (through the use of a big truck).

Updates on first page!
