That's a really good tune!
You would think it was from the 2000s wouldn't you lol
It would definately sound in place in a Freeform set from the 2000's although there is quite alot setting it apart from actual music from the 2000's imo.

Honestly, i cant see oldschool hardcore making a major come back.
why though? the amount of times ive seen in youtube, comments like 'ahhh, they don't make it like they used to' and such things.
Because it doesn't sell big like the stuff you get now.
Unless everybody just suddenly start expanding their tastes, it won't happen.
Of course it doesnt. Stupid comment of the year award for this. It doesnt sell big because it doesnt get made. But given time I wouldnt be suprised if harder sounding music starts coming back, that blackout crew stuff sounds like crap but i think it has the beginnings and styles of some harder stuff in it. And that is what is popular.
Case in point. One of the most popular bands in history, the beatles. None of their stuff sells anywhere near like the stuff that sells big now. So what happens when two bands remake some of the old beatles sounding music? They were number one. The bands? Oasis and Coldplay. Sure never got anywhere near the beatles in terms of legacy, but certainly gave the rest of the field a good belting.
Finally, it might not sell as well today as today's stuff sells, but it certainly used to sell better than today's hardcore ever will.

Mate, 80's and 90's music shits all over anything that has come out after '02. We can live in the internet generation at the same time because history gets preserved in the form of vinyl, cd and mp3 and sent down into the future to us.
mate u r deluded if u think 90s hardcore pisses all over todays productions
a) you make the mistake of assuming I was talking about hardcore. Neither mine, nor dain-ja's post mention hardcore (dain-ja's may imply hardcore, but doesnt mention it). I was talking about music in general, and there is no point bothering to compare anything recent and mainstream to anything mainstream from before '02.
b) even if i was talking about hardcore or EDM, I think my comment still stands.

Lovely breakdown around 1.50 then in with a proper hard as nails kick...TUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was a pretty badass tune! Melody sounds like some pop song I can't really remember.
Edit: September - Cry for you.

Ha, this is hilarious.
Wait, didn't you make a thread saying stop the personal attacks?
Hahaha.
You're trying to compare two completely different genre's? You think all genre's of music, and their listeners work the same?
If that was true, wouldn't all concerts be exactly the same from one genre to another?
You assume the people who buy the "commercial" music would be so open to hearing new things. If this was true, wouldn't they delve into other genre's instead of buying the same sounding songs over and over? /couchbasshuntercough?
Maybe they would be open to it, but it's highly doubtful.

Hard kicks will make a comeback in the 2010s...
i hope they do....and that doesn`t mean that they should bring back the oldskool sound
i just think they could start using harder kicks in some releases
you know....get a little more variety in there
well it is Hrdcore after all...and the fact there is practically no Harder kicks
used in uk hardcore just doesn`t seem right.....to me anyway

Why would you put HARD kicks in a music called HARDcore?
