no doubt everyone can aggree CD's have the superior quality are smaller and can contain so many more songs than a vinyl. However, in my opinion i view CD DJing to have less skill involved. I mean Vinyl you have the whold ability of manipulating the vinyl with your hand, where cd's are all digital and button clicked. In my opinion it will always be Vinyl for me and its something i feel passionately enough that i wont go to CD's outta principle. What are your opinions

I would say vinyl is much harder to use then cds but there is better quality off cds.

thats my point. I think that theres more skill involved and therefore i respect dj's a lot more for using vinyls.

i both both mediums are good, and viable options..
just as long as the cd you're playing isn't made up of tunes you illegally downloaded.

yeah, if it's all done legit then i think CD's are fine........ but if someone asked me to come watch them mix and then sat if front on a computer it'd have so much less effect than givvin' it rinse on some decks!i dont think that there are nearly enough reasons to make most people go from vinyl to CD yet, people are too set in they're ways.im not sure on the availability of most stuff on CD LEGALLY yet either!

i mean to be fair, if things go solely cd. Mp3 is next and then you may as well just pre record a playlist and go home.. But this isnt meant to be about slating CD's this is about the skill..

i think the best prospect of a cd is to have tuens (not downloaded moderators), i mean producing your own and playing them out without a getting a pressing

cd’s are more versatile, you can mix em, burn em , rip em, they are dirt cheap, smaller in size, much better imo

As I said in another topic, I've tryed both, and if hardcore would be able to buy on cd singles I probably never would have bought my decks, but I'm happy I did cause I think it's much more fun spinning vinyl. You're like touching the music!
Havn't tryed the trying-to-be-a-vinyl like cd players tho...

i've always preferred vinyl. there's just something about the large size of them...the crackle as you put the needle on a worn out tune...*tingles*
