I do apologise I know this is ENTIRELLY irrelevant (except for the fact that I'm using a computer to communicate with ya'll) but I was just thinking usually ppl in forums work with PCs and stuff so do me computing homework for me if you can :-)
Does anyone know what these errors are and examples of em....

Execution error, somefiles are corrupted, not enough memory or other problem that prevents you launch the program you were "trying" to open.
Linkage error, i think thats the link problem in these forums ;)
Translation error, the program doesnt understand the shit your feeding it :)
Oh and tbh those are guesses, so before you show those "answers" to your teacher, wait till someone comes to correct them :)

yeah not a bad guess.. not far off... but theyre generaly internal program errors. as a guess from knowing nothing to whats happening, it could be a java error

execution error - something goes wrong when say a program has tryed to run
translation error - probably a problem with the thing while u are compiling it
linkage error - may be something to do with functions not linking properly in a program
these are just sorta things while programming that i thought sounded right, i really should know this im doing computing at college

Those look like IE errors, basically the web sites you are viewing are not programmed very well or your browser is really old, or both :)

Linkage error - Hmm sounds to me linke the program libraries are not linking
properly. An example would be when you write a program and you tell it use an external set of pre-made instructions (a library) that the linking of those instructions got buggered up along the way.
Are you studying programming by any chance?

There all technical terms that I often hear other people mention whilst programming, unfortunatly when I program I don't use the error "lingo", I just go....shite got another f*ck up!!!
but I'm sure all the answers to those questions could be found in MSDN help.
