but seriously, comon, this is a bit silly dont you think?
whether anyone believs it or not, i didnt expect peoples respect/i didnt expect a thank you and im not out to save hardcore by recording one little show/not out to change the world etc etc etc
what i didnt expect is to get slated for what im doing, if you dont agree with what im doing, then dont reply, im not forcing anyone to download it...
im no criminal, i dont rip cd's etc etc, all i did was give people the chance to listen to a good radio broadcast again and again...thats all - its you who made this into a big thing, not me
maybe i went on a bit of a rant then, believe me, i can go all day. especially if i know im right
trabilizer is entitled to his/her opinion, and so am i
i was geniunly trying to do a good thing today, the mods made it into a bad thing, then, i admit, i made it worse - i still stand by what i said, and make no apologies.

Oh and Jimbo, in legal terms, what you are doing is illegal... in moral terms, thats an open debate. I'm not having a go, just giving you a bit of advice. It is illegal to distribute music you don't own the copyright on whatever the quality/length/source without the appropriate licence/permission. Some labels/producers/publishers don't mind so much when a low quality version is streamed, and some don't mind low quality being downloaded, but I can only think of two labels/artists that agreed to let me STREAM (not download) Intense Radio at high quality before I got a full licence. Be careful.

Just to lower the tone a bit.......
I stayed up and listened to the show on radio 1....it was quite good actually, I'm not a massive fan of the really new hardcore but I quite enjoyed it and ended up too tired to go to college the next morning. I alos e-mailed radio 1 and told them how good I thought it was, lets hope lots of people did and we here more hardcore on the radio!

Underloop has it correct, but the main point is that if you want hardcore on radio1 then the BBC have to know about it, they don't know about it by people downloading it from other sites.

ok... i did have a go but then i deleted it so we're equal? I just didn't like the fact you were abusing Simon when he wasn't threatening you, or having a go - he was joking...

00Jimbo, just remember that Silver is running what is the biggest hardcore site in the world, and therefore he has to stay within the law, even if it means being slightly harsh about the way he enforces the rules of the site.
I've had the treatment too, so you aren't the only one. My first post on this site was in fact was one in which asked about hardcore MP3s, and although I simply wanted to hear some for educational purposes, the topic was locked straight away.
But think about it... It is Silver and the moderators responsibility to ensure that this website is perfectly legal, and if they allowed me to see some links, it would be them who would get sued by the labels, not me.
You could probably get sued for distributing the link to the file, since it is on your server, therefore the moderators probably aren't editing your topic just to protect them, but to protect you too. Don't get me wrong it was very good of you to take the time to upload the recording and everything but you have to remember that are several issues about digitally distributed music now, that nobody can afford to take chances anymore.
