My parents dont tend to like hardcore as they hate the constant bass beat, though they dont mind my Drum & Bass tunes.

same ere. when i'm in the car i pop in one of my cd's n turn up the bass all the way. but after 5 minutes my dad gets pissed, my mom's get a headache, my sister starts screaming at me and then my dad takes the cd it out and hands it back to me. they're all into rock and that's why my sister got an electric guitar because they support the music. Unfortunately, as you can see no one likes the music i like and that's why i don't have decks...yet!! haha

my dad doesn't mind it, puts up with it and listens to the stuff i've done. i confused him real good once when the ice cold remix was playing cuz he's like "hey i know this band, it's... *gabber beat drops* ... oh god, what did they do?!" but my mom loves it. she'll come into my room and start dancing if i'm spinning or have music going (regardless of who else is in the room cuz it "reminds her of back when she would goto the disco". give her copies of my mixes and stuff to, hell she's even come out to see me spin =P very supportive of all of it =)

heh thanks to my rents I have plenty of disco and 60/70s rock records to choose from.
my mom really liked hardcore from the early 90s. mainly all the breakbeaty "rave" type stuff she dug.
most anything with a kickdrum gives my parents headaches =P

My dad has always hated everything i listen, hardcore, eurodance, trance, punk etc
My mom doesnt like what i listen, but she let me listen pretty loud when i still lived at home. Gabber was a bit too "bang bang" for her, but ive never seen her so mad as when i listened trance (it was Neo Cortex "Prepare"), she sayd it drives her crazy. Sayd something like "I'm gonna smash your stereos if you dont shut that ****ing noise" :)

My Mum likes most of the stuff with a nice song.... eg CLSM - Free Your Mind (I was on the phoe to her with that playing in the background and she said, ooo, thats nice, what is it?), she likes alot of the Bang!/Blaze! stuff and also some of the old cheesey happycore stuff like 99 Red Balloons.

hehe, a few weeks ago me and my family sat at Burger King and there was this 4-to-the-floor 40top song on the radio at the usual 130bpm or something, and she started to complain that todays music was so hectic and thats why people where all stressed out. "The human body wasn't made for such speeds", she said.
I told her that this song is painfully slow and that the great thing with human kind is that it envolves and adapts...
She gets headaches from any kind of music anyway...
