Who thinks drugs r a big part of rave music and is this a good thing or bad?
I used 2 take drugs alot (pills, speed) but have stoped now well 3 years ago but it did make a difference 2 the way i heard the music, now i don't need them, but it never changed the person i was or am so i'll stay on the fringe.

i wouldnt say theyre a big part, music is a big part, and so are the people
its good that its not a bigger part, its bad enough that it is a part at all, it gives the scene a bad name

drugs are a big part of rave culture
Been like that since acid house till now
the only difference back then it was taken by 20 year old mature ravers
now its 16year old kids, who like bragging if they toke a stronger drug then another raver *which iv seen in hhc chat*
sped up trance, doesnt want to make me dance
give me some real hardcore, and its like ants in my pants

If you look at look pill usage and number of raves over time theyre pretty much proportional, as darrenj says people discover pills=acid house. Y is it a bad thing? Its enlightened people into making wicked music for people to listen to while at a rave or not, on drugs or not.
Personally i think its incredible how much music people listen to and love which would never be around if it werent for E, but are be totally against drugs when asked of their opinion.
Obviously i i know there are totally bad aspects to drugs, but its all about moderation if you ask me.

Rave music was invented for drugs ;)
i enjoy raving with and without drugs it's 2 totally different experiences although i would say doing it straight is more enjoyable (if in a really good mood ;) ) and i've danced for 12 hours straight when ...straight hehe.
but i tend to go for the drugs option 9/10 cause it just makes me more sociable (most times i waste the rave standing outside for 90% of it...but still love it).
i don't like how some ravers that don't take drugs look down on ravers that do as some sort of scum, (ok i walk around raves sometimes and see some people and think "what a **** up") but most people do take them responsibly and in moderation etc etc.
they'll always be a part of it for me hopefully if i don't overdo it and HAVE to quit.:(
i lub em ;)

booze is a drug and with the number of fatalities and problems it causes people it should be more illegal than some other substances :p
Personally i say "Its all good"
