What was it like when you went to your first rave?
Like how did you know what to do? Do you just walk in, maybe all the way up to where the DJ booth is, and then start dancing?
How do you not stand out from the crowd and just like blend in as if you've been to a rave before?
And honestly, do people not care how you dance? lol

There's a rave next week in New York and I really want to go cause I think it'd be a cool and fun thing to do before I start my first year in school.
But I'm having second thoughts because it says 16+ but Milo said it's like an all-aged event but 16's just the suggested age. Also I don't want to feel out of place or something. So I just want to do know like how all of you felt, what did you do, how it was like at your very first rave. Oh yeah another reason why I'm not sure if I want to go is because...my mother...wants to come with me!! I said I guess she could come as long as if we're on different floors. LoL
But like if I go I want to have a good time and not be so uptight cause my mother would be standing right next to me.

haha quit being so nervous =P just show up, pay your money, walk in and be yourself.

people are too self conscious. just show up, do what feels natural and have fun. who cares if you look silly dancing, you look cooler than those people sitting on the floor all druged out

well it depends really on just how comfortable you'd feel with your mother there. if you think you might feel wierd or somethin i wouldnt go. But if you'd be ok with having your mom with you experiencing your lifestyle then go for it.

my first rave i went with 5 of my best buds and we had a blast. Id suggest takin some friends as well. and i dont think people really care about how you dance. at least i dont care anyway. Shake your ass the way you want to

"Id suggest takin some friends"

I've thought about that.
Here's a small list of my friends that I thought about maybe asking to come and the reasons why they don't be going:
My sister Amanda - can't ask her because she hates the music that I listen to and then I'd have to worry about her getting her hands on some drugs.
My friend Demianna - she just got a sparkly cherry red electric guitar so obviously she's into the rock scene but also her cousins are visiting from Aus. are going to be here next week, so she wouldn't be able to come.
-My friend Alyssa - but her mom wouldn't let her come
-My friend Stasy - she'll just be getting back from russia and she's in to metal.

Yup, that's it. And no one can home. Ooh! There is my friend Olivia but she wants to "go to a club not a rave"...

my mom waited outside in the car and slept when i went to my first rave @ 16, i went alone, but strangely enough ran into my tennis couch inside and met some of his friends and that all changed my life for the better, so don't be so worried and go and have fun! just be smart and you'll have nothing to worry about =)

i think narc is narcotics agent (basically drug police) but im not 100%.

and squishy, dont be so nervous! you could do just about anything without drawing any attention to yourself.

i've seen pensioners, damn-near naked people, nearly comatosed drugged-up people etc. all just getting on with it at a rave if they can get on and enjoy it im sure you can!

its a good atmosphere and so long as you're having fun nobody will care!

Ahhhh my first rave ... was quite amazing walked through these double door's and heard "hardcore musac" pounding which was an absolutely awesome feeling ( Cause if you goto a nighclub here it's mainly commercial stuff ). I couldnt care if anyone slagged off my dancing you're there to have fun aint you? Plus it's better than paying to get in and either sitting down watching everyone or standing at the bar all night. I prefer to get sweaty haha. When i went in i just sorted scoped the place out ( Since i'd never been to a rave before ) and walked about abit, before checking out the DJ ( Which was Delicious at the time ).

You're first time raving is amazing. When Robbie Long & Devastate played there set, oh my god the place absolutely erupted ( Best set of the night ) .

Anyway ...

If you do go ... just make sure you have fun

Squishy are you talkin about attending "**** The Prejudice" in NY?
Cuz if thats the one i saw the Dj lineup and LUNA C and AC Slater will be there. Luna C alone is worth me goin if i could. Im across the country so i cant go :(
Funny thing about your mom goin is that she will see the good vibe people put out. You take her now, shell know youll be ok at later events you attend(hence, she might now feel so compelled to go with you). Well... either that or your mom will turn into a total raver and shell soon be a member here at hhc. com :)

Yeh m8 just go and enjoy urself once you get drink into you (there is gonna be drink??) you won't give a **** what anyone thinks of you or the way you're dancing! I diffently would'nt advise going with your mum cause you just get laughed at, unless she's really down to earth and into getting bluttered!

Es , SPEED , TRIPS AND BLOW HERE WE ****ING GO!
