Im in a bit of mess.
Heres the scenario:
I've been seein my lass for 8 months. She told me a while ago that her best mate adores me, and since then ive drawn an attraction for her too. (shes also taken, but her relationship seems a bit crumbly).
What the hell do i do!?
Aint been in this situation before and its drivin me mental.

Stick with the lass you got now, as you could be making a mistake. You may feel you have a attraction to her but I think really it is only your mind because you know she likes you.

the grass is always greener.....
if you dump your bird, and start goin out with her mate, it'll cause great tension between them which would be a headache for you...stick with what you've got

You have 3 choices.
1. Stick with what you have (providing you think it's worth saving) - you never said you 2 were having problems.
2. Go with the other bird and stuff the consequences - it might work (unlikely)
3. Go with the other bird and risk ending up with nobody (very likely)
Personally - 1. sounds good to me.
Yes, going with her mate might sound attractive but you're risking a lot - and all you're doing really is being flattered by the attention.
Seen it all too many times mate.

you could actually use this to your advantage mate; maybe she is trying to set you up and get her friend in on it to see if you will be faithful to her when confronted to something like this. if its been this long and she's wants to give it a shove into a more serious relationship, or indeed you are already there, this could be a test.
Play your cards right and you could come out with her adoring you and you will be getting your breakfast in bed in no time matey
Be nice to her, talk with the mate, go out with the pair of them; in fact propose a double date and make strong reference to her mate bringing her boyfriend, and that you hope their relationship can get back together and be as strong as yours and your bird's relationship .
This will affirm her faith in you and give you leeway to go out and get pissed with the lads more often without her worrying that your going to cheat/ see other birds etc.

totally appreciated for your thoughts n ideas.
However, altho your (jester) idea is sound, it doesnt really appeal to me in my situation. I dont want to be with my lady more often, she adores me already, and im sick to death of the lack of spare time n yadda yadda.
Im thinking its goin to end soon anyway, which it probably will if im thinking this.
8 months may not seem like a long time but its the longest relationship ive ever had n its a tricky bastard to get out of, altho when i think to myself i need to get rid i have doubts about doing it. Am i making the right choice etc?

ok i like the sound of everyones ideas, and mine will sound awful, but why dont you talk to the two girls and tell them that your confused and messed up, yeah fine these guys here are helping out, but they dont know the girls in your situation.
Be open and honest find out what they think and take their advice, that way you will know what is meant to be and what is not.
Use YOUR head, and dont do what the girls want you to do. what have you got to loose if your thinking of leaving her anyway?! just dont mess up the girls relationship.
p.s does that make sence to you?
