Pisses me off how ultimately amazing awesome hardcore tunes are being commercialised and whacked on these pants dance cd's.
The people dont appreciate hardcore anymore for it (im talkin about the ppl that slander the hardcore name), and even if they cared that the tunes they bang on about originated from hardcore theyd jus say summet along the line of 'Ha. hardcore is turd. only this mix is good' or 'bollocks' or summet like that.

If they want it, let them come get it, dont portion some out on a silver platter to them on their absolute shite wanky turd ball crusted cheesy bell creamed pathetic commercial dance album bollocks crap.

Keep it Hardcore!

I don't care what these people say. These people have never been to a rave, nor have any intention to. Just leave them to their sad pop music.

people say that they hate hardcore, but they have no idea. half of them would like it if they gave it a chance. When you tell them that the song that are curently loving was taken from hardcore, it makes them shut up.
they shouldnt commercialise it at all......it just gets more revenue...
and breeze & styles....what are you doing...no more commercial!!!!

stick to hardcore

Totally agree MC_BoNe. Not only are those CDs sh*te, but the remixes of hardcore tunes completely ruin the original. I get stick because whenever one of those tunes come on a jukebox or something I get comment like "hey, here's your kind of music" etc. Pisses me off. Why why why why why do these people have to do these terrible things to the music we love?????

Damn right! That move has put me completely off Breeze and Styles. I didn't think they were that good anyway, but I've lost all respect for them now.

yeah, I suppose. I just hate when every refernce to hardcore from people outwith the scene is to do with those tracks tho. Thats my experience anyway. Most other producers manage to make a living without having to resort to this kind of thing.

If only people would open their ears and realise how ****in amazin hardcore was. Then breeze and styles could make the money they do now by releasing the original hardcore tunes into the charts etc.

It's so true, and so frustratin! For years I've had exactly the same feelings as you, but people just can't listen! I've come to the conclusion that most people are quite passive when it comes to music, and don't give themselves the time to actually listen to hardcore and hear it for what it is. Most people listen for 5 seconds, then say "sh*tty dance music, far too fast" and forget about it.

Don't worry about it too much tho - at least you have the gift of an open mind and have seen the true beauty that is hardcore!

Oh yeah, and if you ever meet someone thats really into a music scene that you've never herd of, or don't really like the sound of, then try to see what it is that makes them love it - and don't slag it off! (Just because you don't like it doesn't mean its sh*t, and after you've listened to it a bit you might start to actually like it!). You find that people are willing to give hardcore a try just because you've given their music a decent listening. I've got people into hardcore that used to slag it off by doing this, and I've also discovered some niiice music that I might've never heard otherwise.
(note - I'm not at all saying that you slag off other peoples music MC_BoNe, or anyone else (I wouldn't know!!!) - I'm making this as a general comment to anyone that has bothered to read all the way to the end of this rediculously long-winded and altogether almost pointless post! (I tend to slag off heavy-metal on this forum sometimes, but I only mean that in a light-hearted way - honestly - if you like heavy-metal, good for you...!)

Yawn.

This argument comes up over and over and over again and there still isn't (and never will be) a way to make everybody happy.

What's the big deal?

If you don't like, don't listen.

Remember - covers of Hardcore tunes = more money into Hardcore.
If the producers of the originals don't mind, why should we?

-----------------------------

Arguably one of the best

If you did care about the tunes and the artists then you'd understand that getting tracks on commerical CD's is like the only hope for a hardcore artist to make a living, let alone get money from their music.

Shut up, and move along.

Because 'we're not all sheep, that follow the commands that they write'

We have our own beliefs, we dont follow someone elses just because they are producers

I think this is a good topic to discuss, even if it does come up again and again.

The big deal is that most people (in my experience) outwith the scene associate hardcore with these tunes - which isn't a good representation of the scene (imo)

I don't listen to these tunes, but still get people taking the piss whenever they come on because "I listen to hardcore, so I must like them" There the lowest form of dance music imo, and are only created for commercial purposes.

Another thing (and I'm really sorry to get so heated about this!) but one thing about hardcore that has made it stand out for me over the years is the fact that it chose quility over commercialisation. Things like that make a difference for me. These tracks are shattering my ideal! They can do it if they want - but it better not ruin the scene or filter quality. As long as that doesn't happen, and gets more people involved, I think I can just about live with it.

So far it hasn't happened.

Sorry to bore everyone - I'm just letting off steam I think!!!

If this topic bores you then please don't read it.

sigh.
i never sed the artists, i sed the tunes.

there are other ways of makin money anyway other than exploiting the hardcore scene.

I may sound like a cock to some people (please dont quote that! ), but this is jus a forum to express your opinion n thats all im doin. no harm done.
