I was just thinking, there's a lot of old skool hardcore, whos ragga samples reference to Jah, the Rastafarian god..
in fact i just picked up a new record, Darkus's "Dubbed Jah", which is quite a tune!

hardcore with things referring to religion is fine but when it starts telling you what you should be doing and who to "pray to" that is wrong...

Religion sucks and is the cause of nearly every major war in the world. What makes me sick most of all is that these religious nutcases are fighting over something that DOES NOT EXIST and never will. There isn't a god and no one is controlled by a higher being and Earth was created by science and not a fictional leader. People who believe in religion must be completely mad to beleive in things that are impossible.

hmmmm, a bit "excessive" calling us mad (scuse the pun ) lol
The religious nutcases are a minority. I know alot of people froma lot of different religions and by and large they are all peace loving people with no grudge to bear against any other religion.
You say there is no God..... how do you know? No-one knows. How do you explain all the impossible things in the world? Science can't explain everything. How do you explain all the beauty in the world? If science was the only controlling factor then why is the world so beautiful? Surely it would simply be functional?
Feel free to thrpw all the scientific arguments in the world at me. But I should give you advance warning that I have a Batchelors in Mechanical Engineering, a Masters in Impact and Explosion Engineering and I'm currently in the final year of a PhD in Dynamics and Acoustics...... so I know my Science..... i'm also a Christian, and I have my bronze, silver and gold swimming badges
Please lets be careful how we word stuff inthis thread as people may take offense at some of the views of other people

Obvisouly you are not all mad . You say you are a scientist and a christian, where does god come from? Who made Him? Now the way the universe was made (theory) was the combination of Helium and Hydrogen which formed the first stars and the 92 elements which make up everything in the universe, this in time, made the universe expand and all the planets were made and so on and so on. This (like god) has not been proved to be correct but is a more likely story than the earth being made by god. Also you say I should be careful what I say about religion as I might offend people, I am offended by religion but people can preach this to us and throw it down our throats as we shop but this is still seen as ok. People are often hurt by the truth and religious groups often give evasive answers when asked tricky questions.
I have this to ask any of you that believe we do not control own destiny.
1) If Adam and Eve were first on Earth, what happened to humans when the dinosaurs ruled the earth?
2) If we are all god's children what makes Jesus so special?
3) How can nothing in the bible be proved but science can?

and who is god anyway? there are too many gods to be one creator

haha your a science geek... you know one of the most obvious scientific beauty things... flowers! they are lovely and you know damn well its all science! and me! i'm pretty darn wonderful (just an example ) and you also know all the simple biology behind genes, chromosomes etc etc.
please answer this one thing. if god is real. then why is there so much suffering... i'm sorry it just doesnt work in my mind... why has nobody met jesus. why does it all sound so fake?! and why are churches so scary?!

Most of the suicide bombers just dont have any other option left. Most of them arent even that religious, its about war. Imagine if your country would have been in a war every day of your life, IMO those are what happens after too much hate and suffering. Think how much you would have to hate something, that you would kill yourself to make harm to it.

LOL, religion is full fo questions.... and I am certainly no expert on theology, but I'll try and go through each of your points one by one:
Where did God come from?: I dunno, maybe there is a Super-God who made God. God just is. Everyone has a different view on what/who God is. My take on it all is that God isn't some white haired old man living on a cloud. God is quite simply that which the majority call Love. Makes sense of alot of stuff in the bible, and other things. Now Mr. Excessive, a question for you . Where did all teh helium and hydrogen come from?
Your offended by being preached to: I totally agree with you. No one persons faith is "the right" faith, and everybody is entitled to their own beliefs. I'm not here writing telling you that you should believe in God and all that stuff, I'm simply providing the other side of your argument..... which is kind of the anti-preaching if you like. One says "God exists, and you should love him" and the other says "There is no God".... in honesty neither you nor I know for sure.
OK, on to your questions (thisis where I may struggle as I have never studied theology, I only have my faith):

OK, I'm not sure what the actual theological argument about this is, but.....
Adam and Eve were the first HUMANS on earth. Nowhere does it say the were the first life form. Humans came after Dinosaurs according to archeologists (Dinosaurs = approx 100million years ago, then wiped out. Humans came 10 - 60 thousand years ago long after dinos).
2) If we are all god's children what makes Jesus so special?
Jesus wasn't just God's son..... he was God come down to earth. We all have God in us, but Jesus was pure God, if you get me (try substituting Love in for God in all the above)
3) How can nothing in the bible be proved but science can?
Stuff in the bible is being proven.... ironically using Science. In Science there are still many arguments going on too btw. One researcher has one view and has evidence to back it up, another has another view, and again has evidence.... who is right? both? neither? It has been proven through history and science that Jesus existed. Fair play, I don't think there was any evidence except eye-witness accounts that he was the son of God..... but how do you go about proving that?
There are too many Gods to be one creator This is where the difference between Faith and Religion becomes painstakingly clear. Most religions believe in one creator. They call him different names. God, Messiah, Allah etc. Look to the roots of people's beliefs and how many faiths are there? (forgetting about all the detail around the outside). However there are many religions...... but what is religion? Simply the ceremony that goes with the belief.

Yes Emmy, flowers are beautiful to attract bees, thats science, fair enough. Girls are beautiful to attract blokes, again, science, fair enough. A mountain stream flowing through a valley is beautiful because.....? The right combination of musical notes sounds beautiful because......? Graffiti art looks so cool because.....?

Nobody met Jesus The bible was written by people who met Jesus.... unfortunately Jesus as a peson died approx 2000 years ago, so nobody from todays world has met him in the flesh
