Alex. I know exactly what you mean, and if I remember correctly I recommended you take a small break the last time I called you 
Anycase, I understand completely. I was going to destroy all ties with hardcore because of some ungrateful people here in Sydney.
I agree with you on taking a break 100% and if you need anything, just email me.
Also, if you're finally coming down to Australia tell me! It would be cool to see you finally!
But as for me? I wont think any less of you at all. I support you champ

it's really unfortunate that you made this decision man, just when things were about to get big too. but to each their own, and if you don't love what you do then there is no point doing it. all the best man, it's been a memorable experience working with you for quite a while now =)

taking a break is a good thing, but when you come back it is not going to be waht you remembered. you still might not like it.
that's what happened to me. i took a break for a year. not deliberatley(sp), but it just sort of happened. everything was sounding the same, and it was all trite to me.
i came back, and not much has changed. almost all of the records are still sounding the same as they did for the past two+ years! (except for kfa)
either way, enjoy it. :)
Oh man, I hope I didn't brain my damage...

Take it easy comet, I can understand your situation, as I pretty much up and left a community (after repeated breaks, each one longer than the previous) due to the rubbish I kept getting. This is me in my 'moved on' form :D :D :D

I defintely know what u mean I've been listening to the music now for 10 years and djing for 4. However with bad their is good.
I personally love the music but hate the scene. I mean seriously playing infront of people who r off chops shows no appreciation for what ur doing and what happend before at anabolic frolics event where the guy died when he took to many pingers, I wouldnt blame the dj if he quit playing and stopped listening to the music all together.
At the end of the day if ur a producer or a dj, do u really want people who are on drugs and in fairy land listening to your stuff. Too an extent its degrading and in general thats not what music is about.
Any how comet a good way to escape the scene is by listening to good old 60's and 80's classics hehehe it does the job for me.

I too think it's a bit extreme, to quit for that reason, I can understand if you were just getting tired of the music and wanted to step back for a bit. You just gotta remember that there are people that appreciate what you do and love your music and mixing. Just because on the surface and in your face are a bunch of *******s doesn't mean thats all thats there. It's sad to see you go for now but of course you can do whatever you want, it's your life. Hope you're able to relax for a while and I hope to see you back soon
