Right. Everyone put hixxy mix from bonkers 10 track one and listen to what he says in "though shalt not forget"
HIXXY PREDICTED THE FUTURE!
Hardcore is getting bigger, i agree, but its not the culture of hardcore its just the money making side of hardcore, i hate it!
Ive loved hardcore since i first heard it, its been years and its not just the music that i like its the whole culture about it, people who dont give a F**k, you know when you go to a party... well the ones who like hardcore are the ones going mental and everyone else is just laughing at them because theyre not doing what everyone else does... thats hardcore for u
Well if you go to a warehouse party and do something different to everyone whos gonna laugh at ya? no one because nobody gives a sh** its all about having a good time not looking cool and fitting in.
Im not very good at turning my thoughts into words and text but i hope that will give you some insight i want some opinions because it looks to me like hardcore could be the next pop and id be devistated if it was i dont care what anyone says.
obviously if hardcore goes too mainstream then a new type of music will form that everyone except a select few, but why does it have to happen? why cant hardcore stay with the people that are truly hardcore instead of all the von dutch, burberry, fcuk worshiping pretty boys and plastic girls.
if u hav msn and want to chat on there me addy is [email protected]
peace

Being different is fine, but i think some people like being different for the sake of it.
if you like the music what difference does it make if everyone else starts to too!

my boyfriend (whos bin into hardcore for yeeears) introduced me to hardcore about a year ago and i f*ckin love it because i love it and to me its not all bout lovin it cos i'm being told too... there are new-found ravers out there that aren't just into that commercial sh*te.
i'm not gettin at anyone - it annoys the crap outta me too when people do stuff just to be 'cool' - i just hate the idea of people hatin/judgin me for only just being introduced to it. look at each case individually i say...
have a gd evenin people :)

sheeps? I thought we were goats?
all this elitist bs is stupid, who cares if hardcore gets exposed?
why should you care if people laugh at the way you dance & the way you get hyped to a certain particular music. sounds like you have self confidence issues if you do...
if you don't want hardcore to become big then just stop supporting it =P people will like what they want to like, and all the lemmings will eventually die.

But know that while you may shut down any given party on any given night,in any given city,in any given country or continent you can never shut down the entire party.no matter what you may think. The music will never stop. The heartbeat will never fade,

Agreed. This argument will go on and on (and on and on and on......) and will never really be resolved, lets just get on with it. Theres nothing anyone can do, unless the people who currently earn a living by making, releasing, promoting and DJing hardcore sit up and listen and then promptly go and quit hardcore and get a job in Burger King.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see hardcore full of teeny boppers and grumpy gits trying to be cool either, but lets face facts. Hardcore is cool, people who want to be cool will always head towards what is cool. I suppose we could always make hardcore a secret society and have a special handshake, and we could keep the volume down all the time so no "outsiders" can hear what we're listening to. Oh and better dim those lasers down too in case we draw undue attention to ourselves. Mind you, if all the people trying to put bread on their table through hardcore stop doing so and get a "real job" then tehre won't be any scene anyway...... go figure

^^^ lol
Who cares? Just play dark breakbeat or gabba for them. Or much funnier for me(am older than most on here) is telling people they like hardcore because of the early stuff they like. (SL2, early Prodigy stuff etc) Them going no no i don't thats not hardcore. Always brings a smile to my face
One thing that is annoying is the adverts for cd's on tv there terrible(but they work i guess, otherwise the style might have changed)
