ahaha, this would be mainly because hard house isn't on MTV Dance :P

Anyway, first off hard house shouldn't really be called hardhouse, as it's about as housey as a ... shoe... however, it is hard compared to normal dance music, for one it's got a kick that is about 1 billion times stronger than the kicks in trance, which are about as hard as a newborn kitten. Also the bass, the percussion etc all give it a chunky hard feel, and also it's about 150bpm, which generally makes it faster (and harder?) than other "dance" music.

Also, hard dance is a term to generally cover the genres of hard house, hard trance, and nrg, as many DJs who play one of these genres, whill generally play the others too as they are very similar.

IMO, hardcore is about as hard as hard trance nowadays, just 20bpm faster, yes theres different styles of hardcore which are much harder, and it's the same in the hard dance scene, for example someone pointed out schranz, however the example they gave was possibly the weakest schranz track I have ever heard... But anyway, I'm running out of things to say so I will just stop... :P

Erm... Hard House does sound a lot like House. Especially considering it evolved from House... it is essentially just House music that is a little faster with some harder kicks and drum lines, which is why it is called Hard House and not Harder than Hardcore House. They're not referring to how hard it is in relation to other genres, just how hard it is compared to House.

Furthermore... sorry, but what have you been smoking? I can see Hard Trance/NRG DJs playing both, but I don't know of more than one or two Hard Trance/House DJs that play both. Hard Trance and Hard House are about as similar as an African is to a British farmer. And you must be listening to some pretty hard Hard Trance/soft Hardcore if you think that they're as hard as each other.

ahahahahah.... ahahahahahahahahahahahaha.... right I know you're Australian and you have your genres mixed up there but lol....

Hard house may have evolved from house, but today it is NOTHING like it, the only resemblance is that it has a 4/4 beat...
For example:

Example House Track: http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF181224-01-01-01.mp3

Example Hard House Track: http://www.bangingtunes.com/play/em032/b/

Now how similar are they?... not at ALL!!!

which is why it is called Hard House and not Harder than Hardcore House.

ummm... Hardcore House? you're just making stuff up now lol

I can see Hard Trance/NRG DJs playing both, but I don't know of more than one or two Hard Trance/House DJs that play both.

I know loads of hard dance DJs who play both Hard Trance and Hard House but don't know many that play Hard Trance and NRG together without hard house lol... again here are some examples:

Hard House Example: (same as above)

Hard Trance Example: http://www.bangingtunes.com/play/tranzlation01/a/

NRG Example: http://www.bangingtunes.com/play/passion7/b/

and I am right, because I know best :P

Our genres are exactly the same as in the UK. Furthermore, your Hard House sample isn't Hard House. It's Hard Trance, which is why it sounds so similar to your Hard Trance sample. Hard House DJs are like Jason Nevins, they don't sound a thing like Hard Trance.

I was saying it's called Hard House (i.e. referring to it being harder than House), not Harder than Hardcore House (i.e. it's not making any reference to how hard it is in relation to any other genre). I wasn't saying there is such a genre as Hardcore House.

I think a lot of people have there wires crossed on here Hard Dance is a term for all hard music be it hardcore, new nrg, gabba, techno or whatever. its just a term like House music is or even Happy Hardcore- how many choons fall into those categories? I dont personally think lisa lashes is a good example of a hard house dj either, just like the hardcore scene there are hard dj's and i wouldnt consider lisa being one of those.
If you want to hear proper hard hard house try looking for nrg its faster than hard house 155-165bpm and you might see what all the fuss is about, try looking for djs like karim and artists such as narc or grady g. These represent the proper hard house sound.
