What would you all do if hardcore started to die, came to a hault and faded away?

What style would you be into, what would you DJs and producers do? What would happen.

Im pretty sure this will not happen, at least not anytime soon. Just hope people start coming to their sences and start buying their music. If people keep pirating then I have a feeling eventully it might effect the scene fatily...

I'd die along with Hardcore...
But yeah that would totally suck. It's unlikely though. The sound of it might change and already is, but the great vibe of it and people's love for it will always be there.
And I would never be able to help the scene out by becoming a producer. I've tried producing but it was just too frustrating and too time consuming for me. Getting decks and becoming a DJ is something I really want and hopefully I might be able to get decks this summer. Anyways, supporting the scene by actually buying the music is definitely a can do.
But IF Hardcore were to die for any reason, I'd just stick to listening to Indie nd Emo music; that kind of stuff. I already do, but even though I listen to it more than hardcore =X, i love hardcore more than anything. The thing is, I like the tunes I hear on di.fm but like the tunes you get on CD's are some how different and I don't think they're as enjoyable as the tunes played on the di.fm. I wished I knew the names of all the tracks being played on it!!

I'd continue what I was doing in 99-00, buy all the records from the early 90's I missed out on before I started spinning =P

id start a group off with our own website and continue a small hardcore community.......still making the tunes when we can and talking about the old days and what the future holds.

and with tht comes the answer tht hardcore can change morph flip its ass but will never die because sum1 somewhere will always love it and support it even if its just them and there mates :)

It's not going to die just because of piracy, especially not now when its breaking more into the commercial UK. I listen to a lot of different genres so it wouldn't affect me all that much but I would move more into Gabber

am watchin ma wee corner of the scene die as wee speak!

all those wee chav head poofs from up norf wont embrace change, and are still listnin to the same mc malestered tunes they were 7 years ago!

you can actually see the production of new makina slow...and its crap as the tunes to get thru are for the big part kinda baws...there trying to be something their not to try and lure in ppl,and its defo rong idea...should stick to same fundimentals they have for years, just spruce it up a bit!

yea,and solong as ppl remember it,someone somewhere will always keep the spark their in hardcore...its like ur first girlfriend...gone but never ever forgoten...and given the chance ud still fuk the brains out a her

It died in 1998-2001... I kept DJing, ran this website and even pressed a hardcore record in the middle of the dead hardcore scene... yeah that hardcore :)

Well how I found Hardcore is through Winamp Radio list...
If I remember correctly it was DJ Myers - Harmonic Flava mix that got me totally into this genre.
ever since I've been listening to Hardcore (maybe 1-2 years now?)

But if Hardcore would fade away or halt, I'd propably stay to Hard Trance (such as DJ Dean or Shoko or Blutonium Boy).
If even that would fade away, then I'm lost....
