Its been on the cards for ages. Steven Spielberg & Harrison Ford have supposedly put time aside to make the film if the script etc is in place.

I think I'm the only one who's gonna post this but I think Matrix>Star Wars>LOTR
I don't really know why everyone hates the second 2 Matrix movies. I guess its cause theyre different from the first.
and I hate LOTR. Watching that movie was like trying to stay awake in CHEM33 (which I have in an hour). In that last one I thought the movie was over.. and then there was another epic battle! And then I thought it was over... and then. whats this? Another epic battle!
Just not my cup of tea I guess

one part I hate from LotR: RotK is:
Witch King: "No man can kill me!"
- I am no man! *and slays witch king like that, chunk dead, easy*

I am sooooo frustrated by that part, really makes the film weight alot if you throw it into the ocean...

The rest: really like it

Because I put Matrix as third doesn't mean I don't like them
"Kung-fo versus Machines" - comment from the directors

they tried to develop the plot into something it wasn't but i still prefer it over lotr (drags on a fair bit, well the first two, i don't mind the last just cos of constant battle scenes) and never ever have been able to like star wars, hate most sci-fi movies

I made up top 10 list of movie trilogies and sent it to Top Of The Pods, and they made a podcast for it.

http://topofthepods.mx5.org.uk/shows/TOTP20050929_Top_Ten_Movie_Trilogies.mp3

The list was as follows:

* 10 – The Omen
* 9 – Scream
* 8 – Robocop
* 7 – Jurassic Park
* 6 – Karate Kid
* 5 – Evil Dead
* 4 – Indiana Jones
* 3 - Terminator
* 2 – The Matrix
* 1 – Back To The Future

indiana jones & star wars are great for their soundtracks, mainly due to john williams...add harry potter to that list as well

Excuse me but where is George . A. Romero's "of the dead" trilogy, The Godfather, Mad Max & El Mariachi.

That list is wrong.

Out of those, I've only seen the first godfather, hence them not being there.
