I think, you should see it from the aspect, that it's just the same style, HappyHardcore, just @ another level of developement.
Also, what is played on D.I. Radio on the HappyHardcore Channel is all, except "everytime the same" - and I'm streaming this Channel for three weeks now, nearly allday long.
However, EACH style has to "move with the time", so HappyHardcore had, too. So there will be a further developement in the HappyHardcore style. Maybe we'll even see HappyHardcore at the top of the charts one day again. Nobody knows, but those of the criticizers the new stuff who have just some free cash will be able to buy any equipement for production, in these days. Maybe they can make better traxx than the producers who are actually in the buiss...
That's all comment, I wanna give to this topic - at least @ the moment.

Ok,
I disagree that the older sound of hardcore has been forgotten.
well show it and tell your self and other big producers to do a one off oldskool happyhardcore track... if they say they like it so much why do they stick to the asda-style softcore? are you worried the records won't sell - they WILL sell my friend

so if you all beleive hardcore should elvolve to the next level, what's wrong with MOVING ON (yes it's still moving on) back to the old style? we've had this trancey style for too long now it needs to move on.... they keyword YES!?!? move on..... there's nothing else to try...

Have you tried looking there is plenty of stuff around that isn't "Asda style softcore"
If you like 95 stuff check out Future Primative. Have you tried 2 Fresh, Warehouse wax etc.

95, your generalizing hardcore with the raverbaby sound again. Like clark101 said, if you look you will find plenty of sounds im sure you will enjoy.

I thought you at least knew your hardcore. But now it seems to me theres alot that you dont know. Your trying to stay in the past and dont want to live in the present. Seems like you wont take our advice on present labels and producers we've given you to try.

sorry for post whoring but gotta say this
next time I see hixxy at a rave and bump into him I'm having words
I'm sure that will have a positive effect on the genre...seriously, if you don't like the new sounding stuff on the most popular albums try to find something different. Nowadays, hardcore has many flavours, I'm sure if you put the time into looking you will find one you enjoy.

Just listened to HN2 and I am sick of this new hardcore sound. I often hear people say years 95,96 have gone and in the past but then hardcore hasn't really changed in the last five years, freeform is alright but not really the same as happy hardcore, the new techno tracks sound Ok but the beats arn't like the original mid 90s ones and hardcore sounds more like "Hard house on fast forward" IMO. The beast hare hidden by bass lines anbd every track sounds the same (on HN2)
compared to just 16 tracks on Happy 2 B hardcore 1, 16 tracks entertain me far more than 3 or 4 mixes on new albums which i find myslef skipping through thing "I wish i was back 10 years ogo"
just my opinion but I have a love for the old skool and the new hardcore does little or nothing for me
I gotta say that HN2 has got some classic happy hardcore tracks on
and also seduction has made a real effort to combine the hard trancey stuff with the happy hardcore sound on his mix.

I really think, it would be great, if Hardcore would return to the old skool style, just not in a way like "one-to-one copy" but uniting some elements of the old skool and the new skool. I think, that would be most efficient.
Against that a complete return to the old skool style would NOT be an E-VOLUTION but a REVERSION.
Now my question is, do you just find fault with NEW stuff and want absolutely the OLD stuff back, or are you fault with it and wanna have just ANY evolution??
In case the latter is true you will get your evolution, and maybe it'll be a much bigger one than you think right now...
