Specs are just that; specs. Getting a system for how well is can process graphics and how cool the games look is just about the as superficial as not buying a Bonkers CD because it looks "kiddy". Don't buy systems for their graphics, buy it for the gameplay. Then again, maybe I'm one of the only few who actually only play games for their gameplay not giving a shit about graphics.

Nintendo Revolution?
I might get the Revolution as my first console ever
as of yet I've been a purely handheld/PC gamer but the Revolution has sparked my interest
the PS3 and 360 are just bigger, harder machines. the graphics are nice but will you return 10 years from now to play your 360 cause of the great games on it?
I dont know bout you guys but I still play SNES on my computer cause the games are so freaking fun

I totally agree. I too am a hardcore handheld gamer. I love my GBA SP. I also love my NES (moreso than my SNES). Reason being, is because they games are overflowing with gameplay no matter how good the graphics or music are. They are so limited on what they can do with 4 colors per sprite and 16 colors per static image. In my opinion, all of the NES and SNES games have better gameplay than any newer game that is 3D (give or take a few).

The whole specs thing is real ********. Wow, it can pull off these amazing graphics! But how many developers are going to put months of work to use the system at it's full potential? Not a lot, I assure you. And out of those who do, how many of those games will be fun to play time and time again? See, this is why I don't give a shit about specs; they're just like some macho guy showing off his pecs.

I'm pretty sure I'll purchase a Nintendo "Revolution" (not the final name) mainly because so far every Nintendo system I've purchased has some awesome games for it. And I certainly love games with tons of replay value. HAL, for instance, is a great game company as every game they come out with has tons of extras you have to obtain (SSBM with trophies, Kirby Air Ride with over 500 objectives to complete and get goodies).

At the moment, I also own a PS2 and use that for a few games (mostly my Japanese PS2 for Beatmania IIDX), but I only own games that I like. I definitely have more for the Gamecube though. And for $99.99, it's stupid not to buy one. That's another thing about Nintendo; their systems are the cheapest of the lot.

ANYWAY, I always check out the games rather than the system. If there is a game that looks really fun for the PS3, I might get that because I'm sure more games of that type will follow suit. I still don't own an XBox and I don't think I'm missing much as there is no "must own" game for it that I like (yes, I tried Halo and Halo 2 but I'll play a PC FPS any day over that).

Cometis telling the truth
specs are specs
dreamcast kicked ps2's butt in spec's but failed badly
Those pics are from the x1000 series pc video cards, meaning those graphics are out NOW, but the time PS3 comes out
It wont look that specail, much like playing doom3 on xbox (its like 200x200 res ewwwww)
this will be the result of most of the games that are down ports that come out

If Nintendo make more of an effort for the launch of the revolution ill probably be getting that but I'm not sure about the controller. I was getting a bit pissed at Nintendo lately but buying Tales of symphonia and Baten Kaitos (no idea how to spell that) has cooled me down a bit.

I completely agree with what Comet has said on gameplay & graphics.
