Right! Here is le scenario.

I used to love hardcore and used to go raving lots... My last rave though was slammin vinyl in shepton mallet NYE LAST YEAR
since then, i had a lil break from hardcore and raving becuase i had to knuckle down in my GCSEs and stuff... This break was too long, and i got back into another music genre....
I stopped hanging around with my raver mates and completly moved on, hell i even stopped coming here for a bit.

So i get a text today from me ol best mate explaining how she has to move away.... not just moving house, but she is moving about 5-6 hours away and she said for old times sake, for one last final time, we should go raving...
I am well up for this. So we find a rave to go to... and i am really excited again, but help!! I have lost contact with hardcore and as much as i still love the old stuff, i cant seem to get into new stuff... i was listening to the previews of bonkers 15 and it just sounds pants.
Do you think i should buy it anyway and give it a try? do you think its good or not?!
If not what other cds are out there that are so awesome, they will win me back?!
I know i luv hardcore still, but i lost my faith and need to be refreshed with some new anthems :)
Please help me!!

I got this the other day, it won't change your life thats for sure. But it might be worth a buy. Only found one good track on it so far, but havn't had much of a chance to listen to it properly.

If I was yourself, I would try Hardcore Nation instead, it gives you a much wider scope of the music than Bonkers. Also try the Next Gen Vol3, very good.

Bonkers 12 - 14 were pants (apart from sharkeys mixes)

Bonkers 15 is legendery! I love it, but each to their own!

What hardcore were you into before to strayed away? Raverbaby like stuff? or freeform? or bouncy stuff (seduction/sy)??? or next gen sort of stuff?

The DJs at the rave will probably be playing recent and new stuff. So if you were going to get a cd, i would the the latest 1 in the series. The 3 cd's i would recommend for their diversity is:

Bonkers 15
Hardcore heaven 2 (or 3 if it comes out soon enough)
Hardcore Nation 2

Gonna have to disagree with you there buddy.

Bonkers 15 = 4 cds but it has around 5 maybe 6 styles squeezed into it! (Gammer, Sharkey/Marc Smith, Dougal, SB/Neophyte, and hixxy/Recon) You could say Hixxy and recon have differing styles (which would make ya 6!)

Hardcore Nation 2 only really has 3 styles.

I think Bonkers 15 and Hardcore heaven are the best examples of diversity.

Well you could take a walk on a different side of hardcore with some of the Kniteforce Stuff, I recommend the Luna C, Jimmy J or ALK-E-D CDs the most check it out at www.all-4-1.co.uk in the CD sections.
