Maybe it's just me, but the majority of ravers (not all) seem stupid, chavish and pill heads? Looking back on my last few raves, the atmosphere has generally been welcoming and that's much appreciated, however, on the DVD's for those raves, it suggests a different story. Quite a lot of the raves are full of cocky chavs with no respect, and i may also add, that alot of them seem pretty dumb. Alot seem disturbed insomniacs, who could be unemployed but that doesn't matter, they just seem strange people, or the kind of people you would rather not have a conversation with.
Just to chip in whilst i'm slagging the raves off, i might as well go for those who work up that crowd. MC Storm has some attitude! This weekend at Uproar, i was in the que with a girl and she said 'Storm is a dick, i was at my friends house (who happened to be Storm's girlfriend) when he asked for something to drink, she replied no, and storm got up and said make me a drink now you ****ing bitch!!!' Then, later on at the rave, my friend went up to the front and a chap said to Storm 'Hey Storm, can i shake your hand?' He replied 'No' The raver replied 'Come on leave it out! Let me shake your hand!' Storm said 'No, **** off,' tried to kick his hand, missed, and then spat at him.
Now i have had no personal experiences or anything with Storm, and if these two things had not been said to me, then i would think he was a top guy. Don't get me wrong, i rate him highly, it's just made me question if this bad attitude and cocky ways have made the ravers like this?
Interesting topic this one, i know, but i don't mind a wee bit of controversy now and again, along with full and frank opinions from all. I try not to offend anyone, but i would like to hear people's input on this one...

depends what raves you go to, i'd say the majority are sound but happy stuffs attracted a few gangs of dicks for a long time. Still very safe in hardcore raves, just because someone looks rough doesnt mean there not the soundest person your gonna meet. Pills and raves go together and always have done, most ravers do them and have a good night without bothering anyone. It is hardcore not funky house so you will get a few mad heads mainly at the big events.

years of drug abuse effects some people really badly, and yes you do get quite a few oddballs at raves. There not threatening though tbh if you dont want to speak to them just f**k them off. just because we like similar or the same music doesnt mean everyone will get along, i think hardcores raves are class or i wouldnt keep going but like everywhere you get some pricks. Worlds full of them

i wouldnt listen to rumours in hardcore, well listen to them but take them with a pinch of salt. The lass your talkin about might no storm but some folk just talk shit, i dont no the real story so cant comment there.

A lotta people get really starstruck around the hardcore dj's/mc's and tbh it must piss them off but theres no need to get aggro if thats true. The bit i've put in bold though makes me laff it just makes me think what a mug. I wouldnt care how much or how many years i'd liked any dj/mc, if they gave me mouth i'd give it right back. I no some ravers believe in plur or karma or whatever but if someone tries to kick you and spits on you your a fool if you dont do something back. Storms always been sound whenever i've spoke to him but thats only briefly a couple of times, i dont no him so dont try and shake his hand when i see him. Your mate only heard one side of the story aswell i've seen people literally following around and crowding performers after events, some of them been pretty rude themselves.

not at all mate it might make wannabe mc's think it's the attitude you have to have to make it but i seriously doubt it.
The mc's i've met through events round london have been the exact opposite, really positive, friendly and have a good attitude to the ravers. Again the worlds fulla pricks and yes some of them will pick up a mic.
My advice is try the smaller raves where you get to meet up n coming talent and ravers arent just there for the big names.

i know what your saying about the peops, but thats what made my night, the dodgy weird friendy peops who came upto you, every1 was sound that night n dont reckon you cud meet a better bunch of peops.
if the thing with storm is true then he is a twat, whizzkid all the way!

lol no, Rob is a goody two-shoes! I'm not talking about any of our 'crew.' Just get the DVD for it, you'll see what i mean.

I always thought storm was a top guy until i witnessed seeing this (which rob also saw) i was appauled!

I do pills/MDMA at raves (as do all my mates and my mrs) and I take offence to that TBH. Are you saying your better than people who take pills and people who are stupid and that we do not belong in raves? I've been going to raves and listening to rave music for bloody ages and I think it's pretty harsh that you think I don't belong in the scene because I take MDMA.
I remember not too long ago it didn't matter what you looked like, how you dressed, what you took, what you IQ was, what class in society you were, how you danced, if you could dance...etc etc. If you ask me it's the people who are bothered, complain and laugh at people because of the above that are killing our parties.
Go to a party to enjoy yourself not to stand around and judge other people who are trying to enjoy themselves.
Sorry if I sound well on the defensive it's just that this is a subject that bugs the hell outa me.

we aint got a problem wiv pill eds n wot av ya, there are no problems at raves, the atmosphere like whittle said is sooo welcoming n i was well suprised about there being no trouble!

Appearences can be decieving. Alot of people at raves may look like the kinda people you wouldn't wanna associate with but start chattin to em and they're sound as fook.
You do get some complete bell ends going tho - some guy started on me for no reason whatsoever, i was jus pilled off me tits havin an ace time. A load of random people butted in tho n calmed him down, which was nice. He was the only ****tard lookalike thats actually proved to be one in my experiences tho, everyone else have been sorted - whether they're "stupid, chavish or pillheads".
And as for Storm being a cock, i didn't get that when i met him, he seemed to be a quality bloke, ultra friendly, ultra smiley. Bit of a shocker if whats been said is true.
