^^ I'm not so sure, local event where I live are absolutley packed with people who are usually 'dickheads' but the vibe inside is still friendly coz its just a happy place to be, once it ends and everyones outside though, is a different matter. Loads of heads from all different estates in one place, ouch!

Well this is also true in holland...
Most incidents seem to happen at the end of the night.
Ah well, it's always the trick of staying out off the cross"fire" when it happens

haven't posted in here in ages, let me let you all in on something, music doesn't die, its not alive for one, it just changes over time happens with everything in life. Music is always going to change no matter what the genre deal with it, or do something to make a difference. All of you saying its never gonna die or it always lives on I got news for you in the past few years it has changed and "died" if you want to say that, its becoming commercial, shit happens, and everything is full circle it will probably come back when people start taking innative to make good tracks instead of the same one with a different lead dropped in. Also another thing everyone calling it a life style and life styles never die, get a grip its god damn music, yeah its wonderful to most of us, but it sure as hell isn't a life style no matter what you want to say.
I probably wont respond back as i don't frequent the board anymore but I saw this topic and had to add my opinon, don't like it, tough its the internet.

When the trancey Hardcore artists retire, I think the scene will definately become smaller, but I don't think it will die anytime soon.

Hardcore seems as popular as it's ever been, hardcore compliations seem to be selling more than they ever have.

Probably 2009, I remember Brisk saying dance music goes in 10 year cycles. Don't think it will die, just be a big slow down. Hopefully it never happens, but it is likely. Then someone will come up with a fresh new sound and so it will continue again. I'm guessing possibly a house or electro type sound with oldskool influences. Its already starting to evolve now back to the oldskool sounds.

So Bonkers will go out in 09 then come back in 2012 and in 2016 some will be wishing Hardcore was like it was in 2006 loving the wicked trance sounds, soft beats and bass lines of 06 and wouldn't like the Acid Hardcore sounds which would have been hi jacked into the charts! I'm sure if there was Hardcore in the 1980s the same thing would have happened!

I always have this worry in the back of my mind even though that I think there is to much variation in the different areas of hardcore as a style in general for it to just die off as it did last time.
Defo to much originality being made than just taking a chart tune and sticking a beat behind it as a lot of tunes where which in my opinion killed the scene last time round.
Hardcore will be around for a good number of years to come I think.

the way i see it hardcore will die in some peoples eyes. probably in the way it died for the oldskool ravers. but you can still go to a club and hear oldskool. thats all that matters. hardcore will develop, slow down, speed up, join with house, be overwritten with a british grime feel, mashed in with dnb vocals, placed on video games and featured on the top 20, but as long as people loved hardcore before all this, it wont die.
if hardcore goes bad, then people will demand to hear the old stuff, and producers will follow this
if people want new stuff, they will get it, but the old hardcore fans will still get what they want. either way, its a win win situation
