Well, I was wondering. I don't know much of the history of uk stule (happy)Hardcore.
Do you have DJ/artists who made a mistake on stage?
In dutch hardcore we have several
Take for example the Party Animals. Five guy all hung up on drugs back then. They thought it would be fun to burn a flag on stage. Sure it would be, weren't it that the Party Animals were from Amsterdam. Amsterdam has quite a history with Rotterdam. The rival between the cities exceeds all proportions.
And they were are a rave in Rotterdam. But they totally forgot about that! Now, still, this wouldn't be a problem, weren't it for the fact that they burned the flag of Rotterdam on a stage in Rotterdam...
They had to run for their lifes
So my question is, have you heard of any stories like this?
Would be fun to know...

To bad
I saw Neophyte totally suck at Mythology last year.
He was almost one hour late for his set. None of the DJ's would fill in, so we made our own sound by hitting the balustate of the icehockeyhall the rave was held in, just to stop the "silence".
We got a message from the security to stop it, but other gabbers joined in. We made more noise then the DJ's did with 50 gabbers beating on the ballustrate.
Finally Neophyte showed up... If you think he's a great DJ, think again. All he did was "play" records, he didn't even attempt to mix anything. So after 15 minutes we "boohed" off stage, yelling he sucked big time and all...
A few even threw some plasic bottles and cups towards him. I doubt he remembers it, as he was totally drunk that night

thats absolute classic. There is a major rivalry over there aswell innit, all the feyenoord and ajax fans haha woulda loved to see that.
a story i love is from geordie gabba dj smurf, when happy and hard dj's would be booked to play the same room
quote: smurf interview on www.scottishhardcore.co.uk:
What a mad party that was! Kiss-o-gram for me, all caught on video, bahhh. At one of these parties, I Dj'ed under the name 'DJ IMITATION BEARD' and wore a big black beard, long black wig, and had an elastoplast on the side of my face with 'DOLIK' on it. Half way through a hard set I played 'Freedom' by QFX. The hard heads looked puzzled, and the cheesers got up to dance. I pulled the needle across the record, snapped the record, took off my T-shirt to reavel another T-shirt saying 'QFX are ****in shite'. The whole place went bezerk, ha, was great. I got a phone call from QFXs manager a few weeks later going off it! hehe. I've met them since then, and there cool about it, nice lads & lassies!
probably is loads more but nothing spectacular i can remember

Well, you're welcome to join a football game anytime
I'm actually surprise you know the rival between Ajax and Feyenoord.
Sadly I only know little about yours, except what I've been told about Chelsea (if I spell it right, don't hate me if I don't) and Millwall after seeing "the Football Factory"...
But maybe it's for the best... knowing about all of it, doesn't sound like fun (to me) since I don't really care for football

Aye a friend of mine moved out to a place called schonover? i think thats what it's called was kinda inbetween rotterdam and utrecht. Anyhow went to visit him a few times and got told all about the ajax thing.
Over here theres loads of diff football rivalries, probably the biggest is the team i support rangers and the other glasgow team celtic. Our rivalry goes beyond a regular football thing is quite hard to explain but it gets quite intense at the old firm days. WE HATE EACH OTHER
Gotta love it though is all fun and games, would like to go to football in diff countries definitely check out what its like.

London I have already seen (a bit of... 3 days are too little to see it "for real" of course) but I've always wanted to go to Liverpool...
Hopefully I can go... I'm looking forward to it quite a bit

I don't hate you. I think the whole rivalry is pretty damn stupid tbh. Supporters argue that it comes down to religion, but the majority of Celtic fans aren't catholic and the majority of rangers fans aren't protestant. It's just daft imo.
For example, was at a Celtic game a few weeks ago, well into the singing and the odd 'Keano' chant, but this one guy behind us just spoiled the whole match by innapropriate shouting - crap like 'Rangers are shite' and that old favourite 'If you hate the ****in Rangers clap yer hands'......thing is we weren't even playing Rangers, we were playing Falkirk. Bloody moron. Theres always 1 or 2 no matter where you sit at a celtic match.
Anyway, haven't seen any hardcore dj's screw-up but did see 50 cent fall on his ass at the SECC - that was amazing! Was high as a kite at the time as well, which made it all the more hilarious!

i have seen UFO cue the wrong CD, but thats just about it.
there are so many rivalrys in english football, the Arsenal vs Tottenham is pretty intense. I went to a tottenham game (god knows why) they kept on singing about arsenal when they had nothing to do with the match. Me being a bit of an arsenal fan did not think that was approitate and they should hav been more interesed in the game at hand

If everyone was more interested in the game it self... there would not be any problems... every one would be content with winning or losing... and would go home talking about a great game...
But that's not the case... It seems that football just calls out to the people to start riots, it seems...
Ah well, luck for me, I'm no great football fanatic
