(This first topic will be updated as more information becomes available - Last update: 22nd March 2006)
We are putting together a HappyHardcore.com poster, it will most likely be A3 or even A2 if we can get enough material.
The poster will be a tribute to everyone on the site. It will released with an upcoming MasterWax Records release (included with the vinyl).
The poster will have the text only logo of HappyHardcore.com in the middle, and perhaps a quote (unsure yet), but surrounding the logo (and making up the volume of the poster) will be photos of HappyHardcore.com members, event shots, avatars, text from memorable moments on the forums, the hardcore camping trip, quotes and all the donating members names plus more :)
I have to give credit where credit is due, this idea is basically an extension to what RaverBaby are doing on the back of their vinyl jackets at the moment, but will include everyone from HappyHardcore.com (hopefully).
What we need from you:
1. Photos of yourself.
2. Avatars, interesting items from the site.
3. Quoteable quotes.
4. Interesting topics (not entire threads but something short).
5. Photos of events.
6. Anything else interesting that I might have forgotten
How we need them:
1. 300DPI or 300PPI - please note standard screen resolution is 72.
2. Nothing less than 640x480 resolution.
3. JPEG, TIFF, BMP or PNG, GIF's for cartoons and text (no GIF photo's please)
4. Copyright free, as we are including this in an item for sale, you can not just rip off other peoples photos (from other sites or other people) - please gain permission before you submit.
5. If there are multiple people in the photo please make sure that everyone in your photo has given permission for their face to be printed.
Q&A:
Q: How can I buy it?
A: It will be included in an upcoming MasterWax Records vinyl release.
Q: Can I buy it separately?
A: At this point the answer is no, you will have to buy the vinyl release. Hey buy a poster get a free vinyl :)
Q: How much is the vinyl?
A: At this point we don't exactly know, but we except it to be no more than the price of a standard hardcore vinyl.
Q: When will it be available?
A: We are hoping before summer, but we might wait until the HHC.com camping trip 2 has been completed to get more photos.
Q: How do I submit material?
A: Post it to this thread with information about the photos, make sure you have cleared the rights to the photos before you post them. If you don't wish to make your photo public (via digital) you can PM me a private link for the download of the material.
Q: Where can I buy the vinyl?
A: All good hardcore stockiest will have it with Shop.HappyHardcore.com having it first.
Q: How many photos / materials do you need?
A: The more the better, we want to have as much as possible, but we are thinking around 100 items for now (might change).
Q: Do you take logos?
A: Yes we will print event, label or other logos on the poster, although actual photos of people will be given priority we will make our best effort to include all logos.
Q: How many will you make, is it limited?
A: Yes the poster will be limited, we will print the poster with the first round of vinyl pressing of the vinyl release that the poster is included in. (i.e. first press only, represses of the vinyl will not include the poster). At this point we don't know exactly how many we will print but it will be anywhere between 300-1000 for a first run.
Q: What will the quality of the poster be like?
A: This is a professional print, it will look like any standard poster or flyer (if the flyer was A3 or A2 size) :)
