Alot of DJs produce the music they paly or remix otehr tracks and sell it on. They can't DJ all the time. Otehr DJs might be part time shop assistents but the higher they go up the chain the more they comit to their DJing career.

They are like pop stars these days, writting songs and having screaming (or should I say screeching) chav girls crying over them! 'I just saw Styles and he woz propa safe init' is a common cry when they sing along to a Styles and Breeze track which the chaved from someone else

not by a long shot i wouldnt of thought.

hixxy will have the biggest wage id of thought. guessing about 3-4k a month tops average?

breeze and styles wont be on that much cause they are stuck with hixxy and raver baby aint they? so they will be on a percent of whatever they make with hixxy taking part of it

sy and unknown will be on a bit taking into account of sy's £500 a set fee's!

There not rich, the very highest earners (select few) sit quite comfortable but aren't rich. Pretty sure all the big name Dj's spend all their time in the sudio TBH.

Comfortable but not rich just about sums it up i reckon.

DJ'ing alone won't make anybody rich - not even the highest earners. Producing and remixing as well means the top boys can make a decent living - for the majority of the others it's what pays the bills and not much more.

<--- See that pic of me there! It is with one of the most talented producers in Hardcore and I am not, never have been or ever will be a chav but if you continue to slag him off I'm gonna come round your house and knock your block off!

Kat

Sy and most other big DJ's will charge different amounts depending on the promoter, if they think the party will be earning big bucks they will ask for more money.

ok take into account that styles also produces hard house tunes too and not just hardcore like hixxy, so he could make more money cos of that. you c alot more hard house than hardcore in places like HMV! I went to force and styles studio once it was pretty cool, it was when they had a uk dance event in clacton where they come from, 1998 I think was the year or 99 cos I was pregnant and had to be a straight head all night but it was still a good night. I am gutted too cos I have lost the photos and have been looking for the negatives all day, well I have moved house many times since then so oh well shite happens!! oh and I agree kat, I am not a chav either I just got very lucky with the chance to meet one of my top dj's !!
