gotta expect that from radio ones forums though paul mate, how many people into hardcore even listen to radio one let alone use there forums.

Get quite a few good shows on there actually, heard sick gabber off there at odd times in the morning before its quite random. Plus some good jungle and dnb, nearly always at ridiculous times but is wkd if your in a car after a rave.

If its all gonna be early stuff i'll try and tune in, i no it's gonna be anthems cos its dave pearce but still might be worth a listen and might get the odd good request.

and if its shit i'll go listen to remaniss or whack the decks on , gonna have a lazy bank holiday as im too skint to rave and everyones away to transmission

the thing is baldo I've listened to one of these shows before from Dave Pierce (its always Easter aswell) but just clicked on the link and Kutskis involved this time! do'nt know if you listen to Kutskis shows on radio 1 but he plays everything from hardance, old skool hardcore, freeform , uk hardcore and commercial gabber and they are always good shows!

caught his show a couple of times and seen him play out before is an excellent dj, real open minded and talented the more people like that the better.

it pisses me off when i listen to an old school show and hear the same old tunes all the time, especially when theres nothing "rave" about them. So much amazing music from 92-94, yet somehow the same 20 tunes get played in nearly every set .

i love listening to a show where i hear old tunes i've never heard before, its a different buzz for me cos i wasnt raving back then and dont no a lot of the best stuff.

totally agree and hes from my neck of the woods (north wales) but just posted on your thread about shitmat and thats the way forward in hardcore! play tunes that you like and not stay in a scene! theres a massive gap for a DJ to mix like the old days and play from one scene to the other and on and on! i've got tapes from grooverider from the early days and he'd play jungle then hardcore then D&B then happy then ambient then back to jungle but it worked coz it was a mix! the thing about them days was when u were their u didn't know what track any DJ would play next! now days you know what to expect!

aye paul you no the score, is good hearing from someone with similar tastes to myself who no's his stuff and has been through the old days.

Im only 21 but i just prefer the vibe of older music, real carnival feel to some of it just feels warm and good. I think its to do with hardware used mostly i need to learn more.

am putting that shitmat set on yousendit just now so will stick it up in that thread when its finished, will need to send some blank tapes up your way someday paul would love to hear some of them.

as long as it isn't all 92-96 anthems i'll give it a listen hopefully. i can see it playing the same songs as every hardcore show that doesn't have a clue. hopefully it'll be across the board, some old skool, some freeform, some breaks, some gabber, some experimental. guy can dream though.

I'm not lucky enough to have ever heard that bulby mate, even in glasgow where gabbers popular was always cheesey old happy style and bouncy dance on the pirates

now im in watford is strictly garage/grime, even a dnb sets a rarity and dont think i could even dream of finding speedcore on the airwaves.

Rock fans seem to have amazing taste in gabber i have to say, no shitty repetitive nu style stuff just straight into the mind bending hardcore techno
