I dont know about the rest of the world, but i find where i live there isnt enough hardcore. Im a keen raver, and enjoy going to various raves and having a good time listening to Trance, DnB, Jungle etc but above all Hardcore. Now the problem i have is Norfolk (my home county in the UK) seems to lack any sort of hardcore, be it happy, oldschool in any rave i go to =[!! Since my first rave (Tent Heaven II to anyone who may know) i have only seen hardcore played at 2 raves out of MANY!! What is wrong with my home county? Have they all gone mad?! Most local ravers who i have asked all seem to give me the same response "Q: Do you like hardcore? A: WTF?! I dont like that s**t, i prefer DnB"
Has anyone else seen a lack of hardcore in there local raves?

I think you'll find most people will agree with you here and say their area doesnt have enough hardcore either as other genre's tower in comparison to listener numbers.....
Not sure about your area but in Aus, Sydney in particular our scene is starting to really come alive and we have some great up and coming Dj's like Reazn, Antix, Implex(I think is a Sydney boy) and plus we just had impact move down under plus we have the support of some of the greatest Dj's(in my opinion) like my favourite Dj Suae....
On another note i rather enjoy the size of the scene myself, i like the idea that every single person isnt in love with hardcore...makes me feel special lol

Oh i definately agree, if hardcore was too hit mainstream and everyone suddenly became a fan who "had listened to it all there life" i dont know what i would do!! It is goos having a fairly limited fan base=] Just means were one little (well fairly big!) hardcore family=D Would definately be nice to be able to dance at a rave to something other than DnB and jungle etc tho=]

Too true, few more months and i get a car on the road. Then it will all begin, trying to cram all my friends into a little Ford Fiesta so we can go to Events/Raves=] If i hadnt messed about and wasted time i could have seen Scott Brown in Norwich=[ Definately a sign to get my act together and get to those events pronto!!

I don't know of any raves around in my town, they are building a creamfields near walton but I doubt they'll be playing hardcore =[ im stuck in the middle of manchester / liverpool at Warrington. Seems to be a lot happening in Manchester and a few at liverpool. Birmingham seems to have loads of raves going on.

birmingham is sounding increasingly interesting, shame i live in the so called "backwards county"! I was considering organising my own event down my hometown (lots of hardcore fans in one little place=]) I got the speakers, amps sorted, lighting sorted, just need a big enough venue and a few DJs! If not my computer will have to do as the medium haha

Creamfields is the name of the annual event, not a club, isn't it? Anyway this year Creamfields is being held in Daresbury (If this is near Walton, then ignore me), which is just outside of Warrington. I think I'm going this year as I hail from the rival town of Warrington that is Widnes.
There is no hardcore I believe at Creamfields, but there is hard trance/house which is the hardest (or fastest) music there I believe.
I do live near Liverpool and Manchester but due to the fact that I'm lazy and none of my mates like hardcore, then I still haven't experienced any hardcore in these places.

Not True
We have LOADS of events yes (ones that i never have the pissin money to go to) but we don't have alot of ravers...
birmingham is an ideal place cuse its right in the center of the contry... means its easyer for tons of ravers up and down the contrey to all get there... after all most ravers tend to be from all over the place...
as for here in brum... you'll find its just the same... say hardcore to someone... there like "wtf" - (or they go on about rock)
say "happy hardcore" tho... and they know what your on about... think about chipmunks... and say "i can't stand that crap"
its rather funny how everyone think that todays hardcore (aka UK hardcore) is a new thing lol...
I've only ever met around 10-15 people that have been into hardcore...
guess what... around 10 of them were listening to clubland... - wtf (not really into it, in otherwords)
the others are either really old friends... or people that got me into it in the first place
