A few years back a friend from Belgium I met over a game sent me some house stuff along with a few Tiesto tracks. Then one day I saw another friend with "Lethal Industry" as his MSN name which I recognized from the stuff my buddy had sent. We started talking and he eventually told me about di.fm; then one day I clicked the hardcore stream and it kinda grew from there. :D

Got broadband, hit up iTunes, loved metal (a lot), Metallica S&M was one of my favorite albums of all time (I was like 11 ), and then I saw: DI.FM Hardcore...

and I said...

\m/<-.->\m/

then I just couldnt get enough! I dabbled in hard house, hard trance, etc. and finally came to hardcore! Loved the journey, and love where I am now, too!

first time i heard hardcore was about 10/11 yrs ago. my bro listened to it (still does) so i bought him a thunderdome album for his bday. and while i like most dark hardcore, i more fell in love with happy hard. someone sent my bro happy 2b hardcore chapter 1 and my love for it grew by hearing tracks like wanting to get high. eyeopener and elysium are still 2 of my favourites. i grew up liking "dance" music and its just evolved from there

2 defining influences got me into hardcore and I cant get away from it even if I tried and they are Stu Allan (Key 103) and Club Kinetic !!

I was 15 at the time and trying my hardest to get some fake ID and get on the train to Longton.

Living in Chester, I could only pick up key 103 from my sisters window sill and it was a bit crackly but it didn't matter - I was hooked !

This was way before bonkers and stuff - the tunes that got me going at the start are endless but a good cd that could expain it better for me is club kinetic vol 1 - an unmixed classic that i still play today !!!
