Its hard & fast which is more objectionable if you don't like it. Its easy to ignore something dull & quiet. If somebody doesn't like Dance music then its probably the epitamy of everything they hate.

Now for people who do like dance music then its probably either too fast, too hard or too cheesy depending on their taste. That leaves a minority of happy hardcore heads!

People are allowed their opinions, whether they're narrow minded or not. Why shouldn't they be allowed to say hardcore is rubbish?

There are certain genres of music that i think are crap - just my opinion, not going to affect anybody.

hahahahaha i think everyones parents hate it (i'm slowly bringing dad around), but its a generation gap between parents and their kids... and music changes with the times (hardcore from 96 - hardcore now.. 10 years and looky at the difference)

Bass carries, so most people from a distance can only hear the bass.. its like standing outside a rave, all you can hear and feel is the bass, but none of the mids or highs.

Everyone listens to hardcore for different reasons, some for the beats, some for the synths, some for the breaks, some for the cheesy as fook lyrics, etc, etc... that's why there's several different "genres" of hardcore now, everyone has their own taste and opinion, and rightly so...

... although people who IMPOSE their kind of music on others and rubbish it have no right to *no names here*

From what I've gathered, at least among teenage stateside guys, the primary dislike of hardcore is that to them it's "that rave shit". Anything placed under the category of "that rave shit" is immediately equated with cheese like Cascada, and assumed that only chicks on ecstasy listen to it. That and the fact that real hardcore will not show itself to the average person, and thus, all they'll have to go by is "Sandstorm" or "Every Time We Touch" (which I know is trance, but they don't usually see much of a difference.)

I think hardcore is like DnB in a way? if you dont feel the energy of the music then it sounds like a load of noise and can get on your nerves, as for our parents well the way i see it is that when i grow up & stick on a hardcore c.d to play to my kids they will prob think what a load of rubbish! i think it would be the same for me if they stuck on there tunes? Already chart music is pants in my opinon but maybe thats old age kicking in

YES!!!! I like this guy you share the same opinions! Nice One!

Its also sterotyped all as "techno", "Dance" (which to them, they mean the pop cultured stuff! - so if it has a 4/4 then suddenly its all the same) ect ect!

Yet there so narrowminded to even give it some credit, or even acknowleadge thats theres more to a whole genre then one style! god dam them!

I hate to say it, but i argree! your right lol!

But you know what i feel really piss's me off about some people!
They listen to a track with a 4/4... and all they do... is sit there... and CONSENTATE ON THE KICK!!!
And then they go "its just the same thing, over and over!" (even though it could be the most talented and epic track of all time!)

I always say this to them.... "MOVE YOUR F*CKING BODY!"
don't just sit there like a moron, bob your herad to the beat atleast!
Why...???? Cuse it takes your mind off the beat and drowns it out which foruces you to focuse on the more important parts, the melodys!

ITS TRUE!!! ^^^^
Try it lol Have you ever notice how whenever you listen to a 4/4 track theres always some part of you moving to the beat... even if its clicking your teeth to it!
Hey, try not doing it, and pretend to be narrowminded... in fact, why not foucus your ears on the kick and nothing else... Go on...

Bored Yet... Though So

By Now you sould understand where there coming from... but at the same time... you'll also think, "Man how sad are these ****ers for determining a tracks talent on a beat!!"

Also...Most the time, I've found that with 9/10 of these people... play a rock track with a 4/4 beat (kick, snare, kick, snare)... and the'll love it... ironic don't you think
One more thing... theres nothing more rewarding them courcing them to consradiced themselfs... and its soo easy too! (and alot of fun )
The most common and best one ofcource whould be...
"Do you like the prodigy?" (most people say not just "yes" but "**** YES!")
Theres TONS more but i can't be arsed to type you get the pic though lol
