Indeed hehehe..
As mentioned above, scratching is fine as long as it is done properly and in the right places of the track, some people may disagree on where exactly the right part of the choon to scratch is. doing it at the start while the choon is building up and then once the choon has broke down you then stop, wel thats how sy does it and no one is going to dis the uk scratchmaster are they, well i know you would either have to be so much a better scratcher or pretty damn stupid lol

who said everyone had to love him? =P
I do enjoy the sy's sets but he spends too much time scratching and not enough time on mixing imo, mainly his live sets I mean
You wanna try doing an amazin scratch and doing an amazing mix everytime, it aint easy. lol
But i dont really see any probs with his mixin anyways , never have had a problem with sys mixin abilities.

like many of u said, scratchin is gd when its not ott, personally I like to drop a lil scratch yer & there & have found that less does mean more! Ezy to get carried away, I no... just keep simple & vary it, nothin worse than a repetitive scratch (thats just crap)
As for SY... he's the reason I got decks in the first place! A scratch legend lol

Check out the MIX below.
I did a lot of scratching on this one and managed to get in the uk scene dj comp 2006 at Vibealite with this mix.
Feedback always appreciated.

I love a big of hip hop style cutting and scratching in a D&B set (like Hype or Marky). Not quite so keen with hardcore especially when they produce a tone rather than playing around with a vocal. I have heard DJs scratching too much and ruining a set but then I've also loved somebody like Hype stopping the music and having a scratch!

A: a boob. that's what.
mixing (i.e. beat matching) requires no skill, especially for a form as formulaic as happycore. therefore, scratching must substitute for how skill is gauged in this scene.
/hatter :P
//just finished a set and hands are covered in dust cause it's been so long
///can still pwn nubs
Judging by your hole experiance of just 35 posts it realy doesnt seem you know anything about mixing lol.. if you think mixing is just running 2 tracks together (algorithmic beat maching) your realy realy rong.. takes ages for people to learn to beat mach keep levels switch Highs Mids Lows in some cases cut and past various areas of hardcore or even in some cases beat juggle... but no doubt your a pro and learnt that all on ur new Numark belt drives.
