which is your favourite? as a family man now, I love Xmas day and seeing my boys faces when they come down the stairs! I will always prefer Xmas day. New years eve does nothing for me any more! its just another night, but when I was younger ( especially living in Rhyl) it was amazing! whats gunna be your best day out of the 2?

I don't actually know, both have their pros and cons. x-mas good with the family close together and all the presents, but the down side is all the stress before christmas...
new years eve, good to have a feeling of new hopes and chances next year, and of course all the partying... =) and I love the fireworks :P
But very sad things may happen at NYE, like rocket accidents or problems with friends and too much alcohol...

NY is usually an anti-climax. Just the same as any other night, except busier and 10 times more expensive.

I prefer Christmas

New years eve is the business mans night, gives everyone with a lisence to serve alcahol to charge silly large amounts for it!

I don't tend to ever go out on Christmas day and Boxing day I'm happy to see family on those days.

This new years eve though I'm actually going to club Destiny in Watford to see Baby D.

So people think New Years is an over hyped cash in on something and Christmas isn't... It's even worse IMO hahaha.

I must admit I've found myself highly amused when I've been down town looking at all the ****ing miserable red faces traipsing round town to the sound of crap commercial Christmas songs shouting at their children and huffing and puffing in lines at the checkouts. It seems to me that Christmas has just become a chore that people have to put up with. If you ask me they should do away with the presents and cards etc and it should just be a day for people to get together with friends and family and have a nice meal.

TBH I'm looking forward to both. Going to a free party Christmas eve then I've got a meal with my family Christmas afternoon and another with the mrs's family Christmas evening :P Think I'll be having a straight one at the party or I'm going to struggle with two xmas dinners. New years eve I'm going to Slammin' with loads of my mates and I'm gonna have a WKD time.

Get wrecked christmas eve then start drinking round the in-laws. That always makes for an interesting time.

I like Christmas. Presents, cookies, and no school. Much better than sitting around thinking of all the sweet parties I could be going to, like I do every New Years. (I'm uber bummed this year, because there's a legends of Detroit techno thing going on around here, and Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Carl Craig will be there. And I'm going to be stuck at home.)

Sucks.

My girl has to work early that day too, so it looks like I might be stuck in as well.
