Most of my opinions have come from other people, like popularity, or whatever the next person was doing, I kinda grew out of that, at like 19, but yeah, I'm addicted again to the lifestyle, raving, Electronic Dance Music... If I did my own thing, I would hate myself for it! Hardcore, even though it isn't that popular in the states, is just fun for me! I know what you mean, open mindedness, I feel Hardcore is for fun, that's it! If some people don't enjoy it that's up to them... I'm kinda like don't bother the next person, and they won't bother you! A Movie is a nice idea! But try to keep Hardcore Underground, like what the real shit is! I'm sad if people listen to it for no reason, or don't understand the music, producers, DJs, all the hard work that they put into it... Like I said, a lot of people's desicions come from other people! Pop Culture!

You know people listen to things because of popularity... Pop Culture... Keep Hardcore Underground, the DJs/Producers work too hard to go mainstream, or even sound mainstream, I know open mindedness but some people get it and some don't!

I'm not sure why Pop is what it is, I guess people are just about the money... I don't like other kinds of music, because no intelligence involved... I mean you could sell a million records and be rich but what you made was a whack immitation of real music. Music is an art form, not a beauty contest... Some are about the fashion show and some really care!

I just think its a real "shame" to have people go "i don't like dance music" just becuse they don't like something they herd on the radio!
and not all electronic music is "dance"
Most people don't even know "Electonic" is a "TYPE" of music (i.e. like rock, classical ect)
Most just think its one genre!
But... You can't blame them cuse they don't know any better!
For the simple reason that no one knows ANYTHING about electronic music!
^^^^ and thats what needs to change!
i.e. The sweetshop needs to be opened - people can walk in... see whats about...
and if they don't like anything... then fair enough they can do one and moan to theres hearts content about...
"oh, i don't like dance music"
But at the moment... the shop is missing a door (well thats a bit f*cking usless isn't it!)
people pass it day by day - and they havn't a clue that its even there!
^^^ and that sums up electronic music in one!

While i do agree with some of your points Simon my good man, i also believe that people shouldn't have anything forced on them.
You're making yourself sound like some kind of saviour and if you're not careful you're going to end up looking like you're really up yourself!
People ARE capable of making up their own minds - you ever stopped to think that they might be happy with their choices?
I can't criticise somebody who likes the Raver Baby sound just because i prefer something a bit harder. I know people who want to marry Darren Styles (morning Dee) but that doesn't make them a lesser person than me just because i prefer DJ Kurt or Robbie Long!
Diversity is the key - one person's opinion of a shite tune is another person's hairs standing up on the back of their neck.
So instead of arguing about which sweets are the best, why not go for the pick n mix? That way everybody gets a bit of everything - and you can leave the ones you don't like to somebody else.
